    GV-POS Text Overlay

Works fine with sps2000. But you will have to use a serial port. Ave vsi or Gvi POS box are not required, unless driving more than 75 feet. Select Star TSP200 journal printer and real-time print on SPS2000 Generic printer on Geovision.

    What Type

That is a Chance-I card. I can't tell you the model. but it probably is 120fps total. it might work with Divis software, then again, it may not. If you decide to try, use an older version.
  3. I have same problem 120N16 card. can't find the correct version of software for it.
  4. did you ever find a solution to this problem?
  5. Hi. I still have the card, I'd like to use it, but still no software.
  6. Hi. I traded with another dealer and received what I thought was a DiViS DVR Card 120N16, But I think it is a watchnet or a Viewgate Card. Does anybody have software? I have remote software, I need the Main. Thanks!

    GV-800B-4

the newer guide is correct. only 12fps at D1 on that card
  8. agreed. Separate power adapters on each camera will isolate this.

    Samsung SCC-130

The SCC-130 is not great for low-light. 380 line only .3 lux but refurbs are dirt cheap. I suggest you look at mike_va sample pics

    Samsung SCC-130

The Samsung SCC-130 is a very reliable Camera. It is not the latest, but can be had for a decent price.
  11. we have some 25' VGA extensions that will work with geovision. these are 15 wire straight thru. these arent the heavy cables you usually find. How many do you need? I think we might have enough.

Please help! Question about how to upgrade?

There are some 3rd party phone apps that work with ver 7.02 geo. I use LIVE IP CAMS written by Nibblenbits. refresh is slow but it does work, works for iphone, blackberry and android.

    Suspected ground loop issue

I had a similar problem like yours once, We had two master power supplys, a mix of different cameras and some ground loops. I thought I would simply this and just use one 24V power supply, and then use 12V converters at the camera end for the 12V only cameras. the problem was worse. my solution ended up using the 24vac powersupply and about 10 separate 12V power bricks on the problem cameras.

    Samsung monitor died

It can be done. I once had to make an adaptor to do this. But I think there is a 3rd party that makes what you need. Online it looks like $20 - $30 ea.
  15. I have done this if I have to place many camera runs in a small conduit. It works, but I avoid doing this.

    GV 800 vs GV 900

GV800 is a 120fps card GV900 is a 480fps card but it is obsolete. It used to be a cadillac of DVR cards. It will only run older software. I doubt GV900 will work with win7.

    Geovision gv-800 help!

i can use my blue fanout cable on the black connector on my 16ch gv800. But I've only tried channel 1 and 2. used it this way for several months. no problem.
  18. sorry. you need the geo version. most companies wire these different. somebody on this forum may have extra cables though.
  19. BTW, there are ways to watch older geovision 6 and 7 from an iphone or blackberry. No need to upgrade to ver 8+

    New GV rant (just venting)

zoneminder supports gv800 16channel now. And i don't think it cares what firmware is on the card. never tried it though.

    Interference on cams over CAT5

in addition to balun, is it a separate run to each camera? also is there a ground pin on the 12V adaptors? perhaps remove it.

    Geovision V8.4 compatability

if it is a genuine card withe an (s) on it it might work.
  23. look into Divis 48016 It works fine with an ATI video card. you can mix IP and regular camera.
  24. I tried it myself. I could not get the ethernet connection to work on an SPS500 unless an ethernet printer was present. So I called CRS. they said the ethernet connection is not supported. So I had to fallback to rs232. works ok.
