When I purchase the new card, if what I'm trying to do is possible, I will be purchasing all necessary software as well. But I just wanted to make sure that I won't have a problem if I do purchase a different card than what I have now.

Thanks for the quick reply. Would I not be able to do so once I get the newest/proper drivers? I was browsing through the threads and there was mention of a 8.2 and 8.3 where the latter was able to support upto 32 cameras. Could I not just download the 8.3 version and be able to get my desired configuration to work? I will be getting another gv-800-16 card. Thanks

Bear with me as I am not tech savvy and new to cctv stuff. I have a GV-800 with 16 channels and I wish to add 6 more cameras, maybe more after that in the future. Now do I have to buy the exact same card in order for both of them to work together? Or can I mix and match, ie. gv-800 and gv-650. Also will I have to do anything special when installing the 2nd card and additional cameras? Or will it detect the other cameras once the card is installed and the cameras plugged in meaning just plug and play. I may have some more questions but these are the only ones that come to mind at the moment. Thanks in advance
