  1. I recently obtained a used Dedicated Micros D4. The only catch was that it didn't have a power supply. No problem, I had an ATX power supply I could use to power it, and I had the pinout for the connector. Good idea, but bad execution: I did the work late at night and I made the mistake of swapping the +5 and +12 power leads. Note to self: don't do stuff like this on 4 hours sleep. The hard drive instantly smoked, and is now a brick. But on the bright side I now have it wired right. What I need to know now is whether or not the board is fried as well. I am not that familiar with the unit and don't want to spend a lot of time if it is beyond salvation: --The front keyboard appears to do a self test and then one light on the front blinks red. --The LED D1 on the mother board is always on red. Does this mean it is dead completely? If not, is there a way to tell if it is dead completely or not? Thanks!
