    hi def surveillance

I had an interesting inquiry today, a guy called looking for hi def surveillance. he wants to record a motor spinning, and be able to analyze the video at 120 or 150 fps. Is this actually possible without having to go into production video equipment?

    rack mounted power supply

Im now looking for a rack mounted power supply, 16 channel, 12/24v. So far I have found one through stealth labs and altronix, my competitors have access to these products. So Im looking for something different, any ideas?

    wire recommendations

I spec'd in a shielded 16/2 indoor outdoor. because of the lengths of the runs, I used a 24v power supply. Thanks.

    wire recommendations

I have sold a system to an installer, 5 cams and a dvr. The furthest cam from the dvr will be 970 ft. Should he use a 14/2? The cable will be pulled through conduit. Does it still need to be direct burial? He has suggested using 14/2 speaker cable... Is this wise? What are your recommendations?

    power over coax?

Gentlemen, I have a customer looking to install 4 cctv systems in 4 different locations. Each system will have 4 cams (PTZ) and a dvr. I have access to watchnet, extreme and Bosch. The problem in this system is the stores have already been prewired, but the guy who did it only pulled an RG-6 and 22/2 to each cam location. No way to pull or fish any more wires without serious damage. Anyone have any cost effective solutions to run either power and video over coax or control and video over coax? Thanks
