Does the Sanyo DSR-3009 use standard IDE hard drives? Can I upgrade an 80GB DSR-3009 to 600GB with off the shelf drives, or do I need to buy Sanyo proprietary drives?

That is what I was afraid of. Any recommendations for a 8 ch or 9 ch? I want good remote monitoring and at least 2ch of audio recording and real time recording in High Res. I searched and saw lots of talk about the I-view, but I can't find any dealers. How much does the Digi-800XP go for? Any online dealers?

Is it safe to buy an off-brand like this, or do I need to stick with brand name stuff like Sanyo?
