I need to quote a job where I will be installing an 8 camera system for a medium sized liquor store in the city. Owner also wants a PC-based POS system. Would you all recommend having both the CCTV software as well as the POS software on the same system? Or should I quote them as separate units?? Is that a Best Practice???

I am not all too familiar with many brands as im just starting. I have used digital watchdog. They are charging me about 800 for dvr. I just want to make sure I get clearest image on an LED 40 flat screen. For some reason owner wants nothing less. Should I go with a DVI output to back of Screen (HDMI) ???

System is for small to medium liquor store. Cost is not too much a factor.

I have been trying to decide on either of these DVR's, can anyone shed some light on the subject? I am eventually going to integrate the system to a POS and possibly (not the deciding factor) want to view from a mobile device. Are the compression technologies used by each that different? H.264 / MPEG 4 I would greatly appreciate the help.

I am in the process of researching system brands and packages for a client that is requesting a 8 channel dvr system. He is a good friend of mine, as such I want to provide a great system. There have been recent robberies around the neighborhood, so I would want to use a pan/tilt/zoom camera. Cost is not really a major issue as reliability and clarity is key. I am not too verse as to my experience with difference technologies. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts.
