    Geovision gv800 playback question

Hi Guys, I'm trying to increase the size of the playback window on my system. When I go to audio/visual log the single view displayed is in a very small window, I know I can increase the size by clicking zoom but I was wondering if there is any way of increasing the size so when I go into the log the single camera is displayed alot bigger without having to zoom in on the image. I have a customer who claims he could do this on his system before it came back in for repair!!!!. Thanks, paul.
  5. Hi Jasper, Thanks for the suggestion, it's just with the old versions of the software I used a re-writable cd and formatted it with nero InCd so it showed up as a mountable/removable drive and I could copy the video files straight on it!!. Because it's been done before the Boss now thinks we should still be able to do it with the newer version of the software. I've been in contact with geovision and they never even knew it was possible to transfer video files directly this way, so I don't really hold out much hope that they will answer this one for me. Although the new software is really alot better than the older versions I might have to stick with them for now unless anyone can help me out with this. Cheers, Paul.
  6. Hi Guys, I'm trying to save mpeg4 files from the geovision system directly to cd. Here's what I did Went to video audio log. selected the clip I wanted to save. Clicked the avi button. changed the directory to my cd writer directory. Clicked save. Got the following error: Merge error! saving avi file occurred error. Has anyone been copying avi files directly to cd??? I know I can save them to the C: drive and copy them from there, but I don't want customers to be able to exit out of the system( for obvious reasons). I'm using software version 7.04. Cheers, Paul.
  7. Hi, I just want video to record on this system but when it starts up I get this error INITIALISE DIRECT SOUND FAILED. When I go into view the video/audio log I get the following error. CANT PLAY BACK THE AUDIO STREAM, NO AUDIO HARDWARE IS AVAILABLE, OR THE HARDWARE IS NOT RESPONDING. I've looked at all the settings and nothing seems to stop the error, It's not a major problem as the video logs are there and playable, You know what customers are like when they see any sort of error. Cheers, Paul.
  8. Hi, Just thought I would let you know how I eventually solved this problem. I had to install the drivers for the GV 800-4 from ver 6.02 cd as they were not on the 6.05 cd. I then installed ver 6.05 software onto the system and it's working fine now!!! This might be a help to someone else in the future...Again thanks for all your suggestions. Paul.
  9. It's an sis 650 chipset..What's really bothering me is that this system has been running trouble free for 15 months the only thing I have changed is the hard drive. I swopped it like for like 200 gig western digital for 200 gig western digital... It's a real pain in the ass...I re-installed the card and the drivers exactly the way it says on the goevision website... Paul.
  10. HI Scott, I'm using v 6.02 and yes I've installed the drivers via device manager and still the same error. Paul.

    GV-800 System Restarting

Hi Guys, I have another GV-800 system with problems. The software keeps shutting down and re-starting sometimes it only exits other times it re-starts windows. I thought it may be corrupt video files but I have deleted all the video files and executed the repair database application twice. Has anyone else came accross this problem??? Any help as usual would be appreciated. Cheers, Paul.
