    Focus

Hi there, I just got a new high res bullet camera with 16mm lens. It was great. However, a little to close to subject. I unscewed the 16mm lens and added 12mm lens. However, I cant get a clear image??? It looks like I would need to screw the lens in further than it will go to get a clear image??? Is there a special way to add a new lens so that focus is good/clear? Cheers Allan

  3. Hey everyone, I bit the bullet and got a new pc put together Everything now seems to work fine. Thanks for all the help. However, I have a few questions.....I hope not too stupid 1) In the configure menu screen the video attributes option is shaded i.e. I cant access it??? 2) What does the hybrid card do. I know it has 4 audio ports...but what else can I do with it? 2)How do I playback footage on a TV connected to the DSP card? Does anyone know where I can purchase a small bodied high res colour IR outside camera for less than £150? In relation to the new PC I have a strange problem....I put in a 200gb hd as the video footage drive. However, Win XP Pro SP2 can only see 32gb ???? Anyone can ides about that. Thanks again for all your help. This is a great board. Cheers Allan.

    Geovision 800

Hi Scott, Doing a clean Win XP Pro install at the moment. The system would not boot up, so I gave up........Though, very nearly put computer out the window I will leave out the Hybrid card at the moment. If it works without it, I will try adding it. I think the camera issue was caused due to me connecting the video cable to the white audio in cable on the GV Card Am I correct in thinking that the audio lead goes into the hybrid card, or into the white lead with the same number as the video input chosen? Cheers Allan

Hi Jasper, I deleted the 7.04 software and re installed it. The same problem. I then deleted the 7.04 software and loaded the 7.02 software. The same problem Now I am really frustrated. I am almost at the stage of taken the cards out and puting them into a different pc. Though, I dont want to do that unless I must, as the other pc is too high of spect just to use for cctv. Cheers Allan

    Geovision 800

Hi, I have just installed the above card, dsp card and hybrid card in a Pentium 4 1.5gh pc with 760 ram. Its running Win XP Pro SP2. I am using Geo software ver 7.4 The cards seem to be installed ok. However, when I start the Geovision sofware the system freezes when the Geo software says " Multicam Setup Initializing" The only thing I can do is push the power button to shut down the system. Any ideas. Is this due to my PC being below the min spec of 2gh? Thanks for any help. Cheers Allan
