  1. A major CCTV manufacturer has an immediate vacancy for a bench CCTV repair engineer based in Fareham, Hampshire. UK.

    Duties would include:

Diagnosis, testing and repair of the Vicon range of CCTV equipment which includes Cameras, PTZ controls, Monitors, Matrix switchers, Digital recorders and an ever increasing range of IP components. Repairs are to component/PCB level as appropriate. PC type products are now a significant part of our product range.

The ideal candidate would have a recognised electronics qualification.

If you are interested in the position or require any further information please send an e-mail and your current CV to timmartin@vicon.co.uk - http://www.vicon-cctv.com

    No Agencies, Thank you.

  2. A Dome camera will suit most situations and they come with an integral camera/lens and receiver. Newer models (Vicon) have a 35x zoom capabilty.

If however you need to have a greater zoom than that you will probably need to go for a conventional pan/tilt head and select a camera lens combination to suit.

A lens calculator will help you decide what size lens you need. You can download one by visiting my site below.

  4. Thanks for the reply on this one. I've eventually sourced a Behringer ADA8000 which seems to fit the bill! It has 8 input channels with phantom power for balanced condenser mics and 8 line level ouputs for the DVR. It is normally used as a A/D converter for Digital Audio recorders but apparently by linking the Digital output to the Digital input it can be used as a analogue preamp. See the spec below:-
