i get swarms of insects setting off MD at night,they must sense the heat or IR light,anyone have any ideas on how to keep insects away??

thats something ive always wondered too, very good info..but then why is there 580 and above cameras? most dvrs have a max resolution of 4 cif or d-1,so the 580 and 600 tvl are not any better than a 540? or maybe i have it all wrong

does anyone have suggestions on schedule setup, ive got my intelicam js-8xa all setup now and need pointers on setting up a schedule with multiple motion detection sensitivity's through out a 24 hr period. as the sun goes down, the motion sense gets more sensitive so basically im looking for dynamic schedule help. or is there any programs out there to help with this? or maybe a flo chart? or do you guys just set motion sense at one level and leave it? i get it set pretty good at daytime,then get many false motion at night. and what to do about headlight reflection without masking too much out?

who has the best quality outdoor "snail" or "turret" type vandal dome camera? the ones without the dome.. ive tested a few and so far the intellicam ada2000irv seems pretty good,but there has to be something with a better day/night image out there?? please chime in with your thoughts and experiences with these type of cameras,thanks..

i replied to your pm,mine is b/w,im pretty sure its the same one thats linked on his site,the better b/w one. and it has i think 8 ir leds,he didnt offer the white ones when i bought it 7 yrs ago..we even placed it a foot away from a doves nest and watched the eggs hatch till the hatchlings flew away.it was pretty neat..then i used it once for checking for a blockage about 30 ft down a 5 inch well. He used to have images of the led curcuit board and diagrams of the whole setup,but when I just looked it looks like its not there anymore..but its the best diy setup I've seen. like I said, mine works great and still works after years of ice fishing.....cheap too...and I am not advertising, I don't know him...good luck..

it was the boardman diy lunkercam ,just cut, paste, google...it works pretty good, ive used it for years with no problems..good luck.

i did this several years ago, there was a guy on the net selling a kit,it was a board cam with a custom led board,it came with seals and plexi lens too, to Finnish the kit i had to buy regular pvc plumbing parts..it really works pretty good..i will look for the name of the guy or website...

im about ready to purchase the intellicam JS-8XLA,but need a few questions answered before i pull the trigger.. the literature says it will work with windows mobile, i have a blackberry..is there any way to view on blackberry through i.e. ?? is anyone working on a program that will work with BB.? also the JS-8XLA uses the blackfin dsp. and the JS-8rta uses the davinci dsp.,is one better than the other,why?? is the XLA an older model? please help with any other info on these units.. ive been trying to get on Mikes site from shoreview but its been down for while?? who has the best price on the JS-8XLA and JS-8RTA? please pm me with your price.. thanks....
