  1. I have the Motorola Droid and initially had a difficult time finding a viewer. My home security system is actualy a hybrid consisting of an 8 channel DVR with 8 Analog cameras connected to my wired home network. I also have two IP cameras on the network. The APP I use for all is the IP Cam Viewer available on the droid market. It should be compatible with your handset. It works great and there is very good support from the developer. One Caveat however.........you should have a STATIC WAN IP address and each device Ie, IP camera, DVR etc shhould have their own STATIC LAN address. I guess you could use DDNS but i am not sure. Hope this helps!
  2. Hi Everyone, This is my first post here. I have done alot of reading on many sites about this topic but can't find any info on my particular issue. I have a "Neteye" 8 Channel standalone DVR h.264 with currently 7 cameras connected. I think the Unit is basically a Raysharp. I have it connected to my Home Network which is Bellsouth Highspeed DSL connected to a Netgear WNR2400 Router. The DVR is LINUX with the D9 software. I have perfect access to the DVR from my LAN. I have a STATIC IP address that is assigned to the DVR out of DHCP range and can see all the cameras perfectly from any of my home computers. I also have a STATIC WAN address assigned to me from my ISP . The DVR is set up in Port Forwarding to HTTP 80 and the Media Port uses 9000. I cannot seem to access the dvr from the internet on any of the computers where I work. I am at several hospitals daily so have access to multiple networks. They all run WINXP. I have enabled all the Activex settings and can get to the D9 login page for the dvr. It has my correct WAN static ip address but each time i try to log in I get "LOGIN FAILED". This has happened on multiple computers on different networks. I do have a NETBOOK with the D9 software loaded and I CAN access the DVR and Cameras on it through the wireless lan at the hospital. That tells me my port forwarding and router are set up correctly. MY question is why can't I access the DVR on the EMBEDDED software when I log in to these other computers? I have tried everything. Thanks for any suggestions. I know this is long winded!!
  3. Thanks for the suggestions. What is Telnet and how does that work?. I called my sister who lives in New England. Over the phone I helped her configure the active x settings and she typed in my WAN address to her IE browser. She got the DVR "Web Application Manager" but it didn't open. She got a little box in the Left upper corner with a triangle, square, and circle in it........ Then nothing after that. I do have the disc with the D9 viewer software. Do I need to install that on these remote computers to be able to login?. I am very perplexed. Thanks for your input.
