Still fumbling with Ubuntu? 10.04 has just given me a black screen during a simple operation. it's not quite stable yet. VIA card uses its own graphic chip, and that could be a headache for a fancy open-source monster like Ubuntu. Mutually, they'll treat each other with lower priority for sure.
