    iPhone hookup

Ref: my last post yeasterday I discovered the following by looking at the streaming file that was being constantly sent to the mobile viewer - a frame at a time I presume. In looking at the info on this stream the following image dimensions are 0px × 0px (scaled to 24px × 24px) The 0px X 0px seems to indicate a "zero" sized image. The URL extension for this stream is: http://XX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8000/jstream.cgi?chid=0&size=50&cnt=698 Does anyone know how to interpret this? Wondering if indeed the stream is coming across but the size is set to zero by zero pixels. I find this a bit hard to believe so I thought I toss it out to the forum for comments Thanks

    iPhone hookup

I'm back with another mobile login issue. This second 4-camera system works fine and I can log in to the Mobile Viewer but get no images (either with a smartphone - iPhone4 or on a PC and Mac). Viewing remotely from a PC using the regular login through IE with ActiveX all cameras are visible. Using Eyemax version 5.5.4. Any thoughts as to why no video on the mobile viewer even though logged in? Thanks

    iPhone hookup

Update: Well, no joy in getting the iPhone running. Install was easy, and we opened the the 8015 port on the system and the router. But the connection just fails.

    iPhone hookup

According to a CCTV eyemax tech the setup our client has is iPhone capable (at least the setup preferences is functional). I just just wondering if there was anyone out in CCTV forumland that had any experience with the setup and ultimate use. The eyemax dvr PC-based system is good, but the manual and technical support are a bit thin. Not much meat is terms of operating directions in the use of the iPhone Thanks for the input
  5. I have a client who wants to access their eyemax dvr 9240 using the iphone. It look like the setup is straightforward, but I can't find any further info on how to use the iPhone to access the dvr or receive an alert. Anyone used the iPhone in this manner? Thanks
  6. We have an eyemax 9240 and have set up email alerts. After much trial and error the system is now finally sending emails, but over 100 A MINUTE! 1500alerts were sent in less than 10 minutes until the ISP email server blocked the port for 3 hours thinking the spewing emails were spam. Plus the images being sent is always only one particular camera. Other emails contain no images - merely that movement has been detected. As a test we set the active alert period to be just one minute and limited the alert to one camera. All other input, output, motion and object alerts for the other cameras in the system were not set - just one camera to isolate the event reporting . The results: 150 emails sent in one minute, the camera image sent in all these alerts is from the correct camera, but there is no motion detected and thus not reported. There also were 2 emails reporting motion, but this comes from a different camera aimed at an active street. To prevent this massive email storm, we have combed through the manual and carefully reviewed the appropriate input/output detection settings, but have yet to find where the alert email frequency can be adjusted. The manual and the user interface leave a lot to be desired as to how to set up the Alert service. Anyone been through this frustration and found the solution we would be most grateful for the help.

    EyeMax DV-9240 Remote Login issues

Problem solved. Turns out that the eyemax dvr system does not allow 2 administrators to be logged on at the same time. Since the local admin logs on at start-up and other admin user will be denied access Once the admin log-on accounts were modified to regular accounts log-ons worked.

    EyeMax DV-9240 Remote Login issues

Since there seems to be no resolution to this login problem thread I am posting yet another plea for help resolving the problem. The problem we are having is when we set "login required". If this is not enabled the DVR is fully visible. We have set proper user accounts with admin privileges and can even see the attempt to login and rejected in the DVR's event viewer. So, there is no connection problem. Also, we are having the same secure login locally using the eyemax client software. So, if anybody solved this login problem please repost. Thanks.

    Remote log in error

I just had a similar problem - turned out that the eyemax dvr remote viewer requires access using Internet Explorer and ActiveX installed and allow the unregistered ActiveX plug-in to be downloaded and installed (go to IE Tools/Security/advanced settings). This solved the problem as we were trying to use Firefox, with no ActiveX installed. I have 2 other problems still unsolved - can't access locally through the local LAN and if the secure DVR network logon is enabled all WAN logons fail and these general events are logged. Very odd.
