  1. bump Am I the only one having issue controlling a PTZ cam over the internet on an AVTECH DVR? Maybe my unit is faulty. I reset it several times with no improvement in the control.
  2. DVR: AVTECH KPD 673 Camera PTZ: PELCO-D, 2400 bps I can control the camera without problem locally with the remote control, I can control fairly well the camera locally via the IE interface. My problem is that using this IE interface in a distant location via the Internet : movements are difficult to obtain and when I manage to turn/zoom, the camera goes to an extreme position: continuous turn left or right, zoom max or mini but no intermediate. It is very difficult to achieve step by step the desired location/zoom. It seems that the DVR is receiving an instruction that I keep pressing the button while in fact i just press it once. What can i do to improve? Also, is it normal that the presets only record the X,Y position but not the zoom factor? Thanks.
  3. I ended up rebooting the DVR and now receives email notification only when motion is triggered. Well noted on the alarm settings on each camera motion settings. Thanks.
  4. I am having problem setting up an email notification when there is motion trigger on an AVTECH KPD673. 1/ I setup the area to be monitored for motion 2/ I setup the option alarm "N.C." normally closed for the related camera in the DVR-motion dialog 3/ I setup properly the email settings (i.e. SMTP, etc...) 4/ I set-up the alert dialog by ticking off all buzzer bu notification by email checked The result is that I receive an email every two minutes telling me there is a trigger despite the fact there is no movement. What am I doing wrong? I just need an email notification when the specified camera detects a movement. thanks for your help.
