Hi, I have a Techson DVR, but the admin password was lost. I can't find any usable manual, or help to reset the password for the unit. The default 123456 does not work. To take out the CR2032 battery does not help, only the time is lost. May be the unit is sold under separate brands over the world. The main PCB is marked as a DVR408 type. How can i restore the admin password, or restore the unit back to factory state? Thanks!

ok But the DVR is 250km away from me.. it would be easier to use the ethernet side of the recorder.. this VSR file is the own of AVTECH? does some other DVR's using this format?

Hi, My DVR supports just VideoServer S application.. VideoServer S does not supoprt the conversion function, there is no menu/button to save the captured video a avi.. The quality is realy bad, as a VSR file. When I use the BNC Video output of the DVR, the picture is clear, but the same picture saved on the ethernet side is really bad.. When i need to use a "screen capture" software, the result will be unusable.. i think..

Hi, Thank You for the link, but this converter does not support VSR files.. I can play the files with the Video player application for my recorder, but this is not portable. I can't save the fies as avi, or mpeg.. I can't play them on a DVD player..

Hi, Is there any software to convert avtech's .VSR video file format to avi, or mpeg file? I searched for such a software, but without any success. Is it possible to convert such a file? I need to give some minutes of recorded video to the police, but they can't read this file type, and can't install the videoserver application to play the video.. (They don't have admin rights to the computers..)

hi, Yes, sorry, i mean Active-X not java.. I made the settings in IE, but still no picture, just the controll buttons are visible.. (see attached picture) All active-x settings are made as described in the manual.. Is it normal, that on the web page of the recorder cameras 1-16 are listed? it is a 4Ch recorder.. Why 16 cameras? is it a software bug? or is that normal? thank You!

Hi, I installed an AVT773W recorder.. I know, it's not the best choice, but it was free of charge My problems are, that i can't find the java plugin for windows, to use the web interface.. The old avtech ftp (ftp://211.22.74.18) is not working anymore (there is a button on the main web page of the recorder, but the "download app" button is not working.. I tried to find a java app. with google, but i failed.. Where can I find it? I tried to contact AVtech, but i didn't get an answer.. the another porblem is, that te communication with VideoServer S application is wery slow. When I press a function button, it takes sometimes 5-10sec's to get the effect, or i need to press it twice.. The beeper in the recorder is beepeng, but there is no effect Is it possible to find a firmware upgrade for an AVT773W recorder? I have 1.0.5.7 installed..I use Video Server S version 1.1.5.5
