  1. Hi, I guess my earlier introduction got moderated. Im not even sure why. Maybe coz i said people in my country still live on trees? Ok btw hi guys, im a newb. Taking this up as a hobby/knowledge. Hope to get some hints and tips from oldtimers here. Cheers.
  2. Hi! Ok youre allowed to laugh it out for the first few seconds after reading the topic. The Story: Between my office and where i park my car, theres this old building being torn down. Everyday without fail the old CCTV seems to capture my attention, since i'm moving to my new house i got a little interested in CCTV(more of a hobby than security)..been bidding on ebay to get those foscam cams. So one day i decided to chit chat with those cotractors who were tearing down the building, and got 2 pieces of old cctv camera, 6 bucks for both. Just to play around with. Problem: I couldnt seem to find the manufacturer of the brand nor the manuals for it. And this is my first hand experience on a CCTV (if thats what its called). Question: 1.How do i know if its analog or digital? 2.Where can i find the manual? 3.Can anyone pass me the manual coz i don't think theres any online? 4.If theres no manual, can anyone guide me through what i need to get it running? 5.Do i need a dvr? or dvr card? 6.Is this a color or black and white? 7.Any sample on the picture quality would be like? And more questions after i get these answered from you oldskoo pros! Details: Model: DVC470-P S/N:F23222788 W/O:F06099 System:PAL Power:DC12V MADE IN TAIWAN R.O.C So after seeing the details myself (PAL), i assume its analog. I read that Delta Vision was bought by either AD or DSC. I couldn't find what AD is but DSC doesn't seem to have their manuals as well. I know i could chuck this two and bid for better ones on ebay..but like i said its a hobby. Thanks in advance. Regards, George of THE Jungle
