  1. Shock, did you click on one of the pics to make it bigger? Also, we have the NVR plugged into a 55" TV and full screen, they are very clean. An analog camera will not look like this! Tomorrow I'll try to upload actual size. As for now, here is another pic with all his lights off.
  2. Thank you. I used the dahua 3204 for this job. Larger jobs I'll be using the 5216.
  3. I just did this quick little job today. 4 1.3mp dahua bullets and vertical NVR.
  4. I just purchased a vertical nvr with four 2100 1.3mp bullets for a small job and my distributor told me NOT to buy the one with built in POE. He is getting alot of returns lately from a bad batch. Apparently, the POE ports are failing. So I bought the non POE for less money and bought a TP-link POE switch. The customer loved me for it cause he was able to plug his bluray player in one of the extra ports for his netflix since the NVR was near his TV.
  5. I have the 5232 for sale if you want it. Send me a PM
  6. I would like to see more RAM installed. The SSD is a good choice and everything else looks good.

    2mp IP ptz over wifi

When I do the speed test, I do it from the bridge, not the router.

    2mp IP ptz over wifi

I'm not concerned about security for this camera. If someone hacks into it, than they are free to see what it sees. What is the difference if someone has wifi in their house or a camera is streaming over the wifi signal? As far as being on broadband, I have a test bridge and over wifi, I did a speedtest and got 20 down and 5 up. I'm hoping to get 5ghz down to the house and get a full 50 down and 5 up, but want to know if these devices should make the distance or not.
  9. For starters, the FPS per channel is less on the 3108 which means less bit rate as well. The 3108 only has 1 sata slot and the 5208 has 2 sata slots. The 5208 can record a 5mp or 3mp camera, the 3108 cannot. And I am sure there are other differences, I'm just too lazy to find them.

    700TVL Dome cameras

It's your streaming capability of the DVR lowering the resolution of the cameras. If you say they look great on your local monitor, than your cameras are fine. Keep in mind, you will notice a difference even with the best analog dvr while streaming to a mobile device over the internet.
  11. I set up the 5232 last night and it's Kool to see 32 cameras listed on the side and 32 boxes for cameras. I have 2 1080P cameras, one of them a ptz that I will be using to test it out. I wish I had a 5mp camera as well, but otherwise, the nvr looks good. It has 30fps both main stream and sub stream and has same set up as any other dahua nvr. If anyone would like to purchase it, I would sell it if they really needed it. I have 2 5216's for myself and the 32 was just for testing purposes.

    960H Technology Question

I'm not sure if your fully understanding hd-sdi? HD-sdi has the same resolution as IP cameras, only it runs over coax. So, if bandwidth and your computer is what your worried about, than stick with really good analog cameras and dvrs. If money is what your worried about, stick with analog again. But to say IP is not an option and hd-sdi for 'future' additions, kind of does not make sense in our minds. You have to realize hd-sdi cameras sometimes are more expensive than IP cameras and hd-sdi dvrs are more as well, and bandwidth is just as much as IP. So, for future installations, why wouldn't you run cat 5, install an NVR, and run software that can view analog and IP at the same time?
  13. I just checked my tracking info and my 5216's and 5232 arrived today. When I get home, I'll check them out

    960H Technology Question

No, I do not mean thousands! You can get hd-sdi cameras for under 200.00 now and the dvr's are not too far off from 960H dvrs and how much do you think hybrids are??? He wants to keep his existing analog, but get the best possible resolution only because there is coax run already, not because he's poor. But, thank you for correcting me cause I do not know anything.

    960H Technology Question

You are not going to see a difference by upgrading the DVR to 960h and keeping the same cameras. You will see a difference if it was a really old DVR and had the worst resolution capabilities. I have installed 2 960H dvrs with 700tvl cameras and was not really impressed. For alittle more money, you should suggest to your client an hd-sdi system especially if coax is already run and you cannot run new cat 5 or it's not in the budget to rerun new wires.
  21. if thats an analog camera and about 40 feet, than one of those 2.4ghz wireless video sender things should be just fine.
