I would be happy to view my system in real time remotely from my Android phone. Not concerned with the ability to play back on the phone. However when I'm on a remote PC I would like to have full control.

But first what brand of DVR would you recommend. I understand the Dahua's are priced better, but as far as quality and customer service are they the best way to go or do you suggest a different brand. Like Samsung, Nuvico, Pelco? Robert...

Hi Group, I need a little help from the pro’s with a recommendation on a new 16 camera stand alone DVR that will give me remote access to include my Android smart phone. I had a system that was hit by lightning and everything needs to be replaced. I had a DVR from a company called “WatchNET”, model # ES-48016RTS-kit. http://watchnetdvr.com/DVRsystems_Embeded.asp The WatchNET did OK but from some things that I read in the past on the forums the WatchNET is not as mainstream and not what the pro’s would select for themselves. How much do you have to spend to get a DVR that can do D1@30fps on all 16 channels?

No that's a frame from the recording. But the hash lines I'm asking about happen on the live shot as well.

It looks much better at home on my monitor. I was just concerned about the hash mark lines by the truck window and on the roof line of the building.

When talking D1, CIF, or whatever, does these settings have any effect on the live image?

They dont make them, Dahua is the real manufacturer. Yes, I already downloaded all the watchnet software, thats why I said it is an older version software of the same Dahua software I have here. Specs on the DVR are identical also. 1.) Would I benifit from a newer software version? 2.) Could I even do that upgrade with my DVR? 3.) I may buy another DVR because I can easily install 32 cameras around my farm. If I did buy another, what wuold be your recommendations?
