Hello All, I am installing "video viewer anytime and anywhere" in my computer to monitor a few DVRs remotely. My questios is: - Do I have to install the software in my computer under an Administrtor Account? or Could I just installed it under a User Account? The reason why is because the person who is going to be monitoring the cameras cannot be an Administrator on this computer but I am not sure if I installed the software under a USER account I might have any problems running the software in the future. Let me know it this doesn´t make sence!! Thanks in advanced. Fernando

Thank you guys. I know I am missing vital information such as the recording time that is on the DVRs now. Provably it would be easier if I have such info; However, I just need an estimate in space to tell the IT guys.

I have a question about recording time. I have 26 AVTECH DVRs with a 500GB Hard Drive each. I need to know how much space I need, in a remote server, to keep 8 months worth of information from each of the DVRs. Aditional information: - The DVR has been configured to store 3 images por second. - Each image has 512(h)x 492(v) resolution on NTSC format - It records from 8:00AM - 6:00AM 6 days a week. The extra day and aditional time of each day it records by motion detection. My IT Department is asking how much space I need in the server, but I have no idea what to tell them. Hello All, I have installed a GeoVision system in my PC to monitor 4 cameras. The problem I am having is with the space that the images are taking in the Hard Drive of the computer. I am not sure if the resolution is too high and maybe that is why my HD is filling up in very short time. I do not have a server and all the images are being save locally in the HD. What I have been doing is creating backups on a external HD but this is not what I want. I know that even if I change the resolution the HD is going to fill up but I maybe it would give me more time between each backup. I attached a few images of the program. It could take about three weeks for the HD to fill up. Is there a way to reduce the video quality so it would not take that much space? When backing up, is there a way to compress the video files? Let me know if you need more information. Any suggestion is very appreciated.

Hello friends, I have a General Electric (GE) DVR that i need to replace. In my comapny we have a plataform call Facility Comander from GE witch integrates multiple security sistems like access control, cameras, DVR, etc. The problem that i have is that GE devices are way too expensive. My question is, if I buy a DVR from a different brand would i be able to incorporate this with the Facility Commander plataform?? O would I encounter compatibility issues?? Thanks for your advice. Guys I hope you can help me. I am taking over a position where the last person changed the admin password and did not provide me any information. I havent been able to reset the admin password from the two other accounts because none of them have admin rigths. In the forum someone suggest reinstaling the software but I have done this two times deleting any trace in the computer and for some extrange reason when I reinstall the program it is keeping the information about the previous accounts. I know am doing something wrong but I have no idea what!! Could someone help me with this thing...It is driving me crazzzzyyyy!!! Thanks

Thank you guys for replying. I did try with VLC and it let me play the videos but resolution its poor. I might have to reinstal the software. If I back up the information, do you guys think I would be able to bring up all the IP addresses that I had in the system after the reinstal? Thnaks

Hello everyone, I hope you guys are having a great day. Here is the problem am having with the software AVITECH video viewer (see screen shot attached - Not actual problem) I am taking over a position where the last person chaged the admin password on the video viewer. There are two other accounts but they don´t have administrative rigths. I am trying to find a way to reset or recover the admin password since the person who was in the position before me has left and didn´t not provide any information. I am struggling with this issue and I haven´t been able to find any information in the web. In the following link http://scorpiontheater.com/videoviewer.aspx there is information about the software, as well as the user manual, but there is not information that could help me reset an admin password..I think!! If there is someone out there that could help me with this issue, i would be really appreciated since I am running out of ideas. I´ll answer any qestions to try to solve this problem.
