  1. If You need good mpixel cam, with good image in low light AND fast shutter, try IQeye Alliance-mx. We just made some tests and it's rly good! Its MUCH better than TCM-7411 from ACTi. I cant show You samples with moving cars, but I have static one (0,05lux without IR Leds): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6833159/IQEYE/iqeye_MX_0%2C5lux.avi

    SONY Megapixel

Just show other mpixel cam (ACTi, AXIS, Vivo) to Your client, he wont take SONY any more if he compare pixture and price. If You want good solution for recording, try Koukaam, http://www.ipcorder.com/en/support/supported-devices/sony/ I dont use open source NVRs.

    PoE Injectors

Hi there! You can try multiport PoE switch. We use RAYON FPI400, 4 ports/15.4W each - it cost like $100. For bigger systems, the best solution, in my opinon, is Cisco SD or SRW PoE switch (SD208P, SRW208P, SRW208MP, SRW224G4P...). They are not cheap but they are the best solution on the market.
  5. Yeah IR poiting on baby is not so good idea Maybe try ACTi ACM-4201. Low cost, 1/3" CMOS, 1.3Mpixel, PoE. 2 way Audio I found some images from that cam here on forum: http://www.dropbox.com/gallery/6833159/1/ACM-4201?h=2dca9a MSRP price 284 euro here in Poland.
