    ACTI KCM-8211

Thanks EarlT! I will try to do that this weekend. I know that I promised videos from E32, but I have problems with codes, I used some new recording software and all videos are festered and have lots of artifacts - damn NVR from china :/ I will make new one I think. Also: KCM-8111 is faster than Geo - I mean presets, zoom and focus. Also it sets focus better on difficult scenes. But Geo have better WDR, I have some sample, will post that later.
  2. ACTi PTZ and GeoVision PTZ: wRPNyDNa85A Sorry that I didn't make this video on both cameras in same time, but it was rly hard to mount them on my balcony I had to return them next day and using standard accessories would leave tracks... so I used ironing board and some cable to stabilize them... There was room only for one dome Also, my boss sent me this big a$$ camera cousing from SCENE (IR chaina stuff). 8 IR LEDs with 70meters range, here is video form it: Iswo9L1cOaQ I made a review on my new blog, but its in polish :/ I don't know if its any use with "google translate", you decide. Maybe I should make those future reviews in english, but I don't know if its any better than google translate http://cctvnerd.blogspot.com/

    ACTI KCM-8211

I hope that KCM-8211 will have better housing than KCM-8111. This indoor cam seams way tooo fragile, I don't like this push-fit dome cover, way to easy to open by someone. Also I think that this KCM-8111 is more like KCM-5511 than KCM-5611. wRPNyDNa85A

Yeah, I just saw that. It fixes all those bugs, so I will make some videos this weekend
  5. Hello I'm making some comparison between "supreme low lux" cameras to check how low is this lowlux One of them is Vivotek IP8162. I have huge problem with it when there is a noise on scene - video is getting choppy, jittery, looses frames, huge delay. It seams that it happens when I set this cam to Variable Bit Rate and excellent quality. Lowering fps, and setting GOP to 1 second (:/) make it little bit better, but still it doesn't look good. Just look for yourself: tmCHtp7Dj8Y Any one had this cam? Is it normal for this model?

Nahh its not that, I found some bugs in those new cameras, so we are working with ACTi to solve them now. Its not big deal, but still it have feedback on quality. I'll be back as soon as my boss let me post those video clips or I will get new firmware

Yep, its board mount, check pictures: http://www.dropbox.com/sh/lkhyrb068x4zrut/Kj5gnnaDjR I have E12 (3.1 Mpixel cube) and E52 (1 Mpixel dome with IR), I will make some samples and post them on my youtube channel.

Hmmm, I will check that, but i think its standard board mount. And yes, I'm waiting for those 3.1 Mpixel ones too.

Yes, we have them here in Poland, like 50-100 pieces in stock. Keep looking
  11. You can do it using "events" without any problem. With TCM-1111 you can even set different motion detection settings for night and day, and using events you can even change size and placement of motion windows. I am waiting for E32 - 3.1Mpixel one
  12. GeoVision BX520 - 5.0 Mpixel: L7D8oUDP8nM PBPY1F5nuDY
  13. Here are some pictures: With tail: Inside: As you can see there are 2 ethernet ports, for normal RJ45 and terminal/flat one. As for image, I have some movie samples made in my "hood", just uploading them on youtube, will update with link. Inside, 0.05 lux or less, fast shutter: OjSUes6ofIU outside, fast shutter, moving objects QHOUPOjb-MU outside WDR test: tJWC_-chXHU
  14. Maybe try ACTi KCM-5511? FullHD, much cheaper than KCM-5611, and much better than KCM-5311E. E7b42Fe4WVM and here is zoom on gate: 2ERAyExO6Dw
  15. And that is why I like ExacqVision and Exacq supported camera list
  16. Nahh its natural There is swamp nearby + weather is rly foggy.

  19. Hmmmm, same thing in ACTi and IQeye cameras. Never thought about it as a bug.

Hmmm.... I never had problems with motion on ACTi, strange. You should try sending screens of your motion setup and activity graph to support. I will make some tests on that KCM-3911.

You can set motion windows to ignore noise, try using this chart: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6833159/motion.jpg and "activity graph" on camera setup when you set motion windows. Also, you can use CGI commands and schedule to set different motion sensitivity at night and at day.

Try changing AE level in settings, just look at this video, lots of sky: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvYYsg3-mH8 Its not bad right? It was disaster on default settings.
  23. Foscam =/= ip camera, it is a toy. And this is what you get, when you are buying toys for security.
