  1. It's because poor internet connection, with lightgrabber you can use full frame rate. I was surprised that IP camera can give you that kind of lowlight image, I would rly like to see some good review like from buellwinkle but this image was taken form IQ752 model (1.9 Mpixel 1/2" CMOS model), now its replaced with IQ762 (FullHD 1/3" CMOS with auto focus), I wonder how it will work @ night. There is outdoor model - Sentinel IQ862.
  2. Hej buellwinkle, You rly like this camera? I used it one time and then send it back to ACTi. I had problem with IR halo, also the "low light" wasnt good enough on shutter faster that default. Personally I use IQ752/IQ762 in places where I need good low light vWx21ebiOKY Also if I were You I wouldn't buy it on amazon, but from fair CCTV reseller, that way You can test it and return it if its not good enough.
  3. You can try one last thing, hold reset button while starting up camera for about 45 - 60 seconds, if that dosnt help, it's dead :/ send it back to support, they should send you a new one.
  4. Its like that because of aspect ratio of that damn camera, and its the only point where I can put it on. So lets pretend that its "watching CEO alient space helicopter pad for rapturing ppl and spliting the sky apart"

    Help with AVTECH IP Camera

Yes, it works with GeoVision. Use that rtsp link and everything will be fine. Remember to check port number. For new cameras it is 88 so link should look like: rtsp://IP:88/live/MJPEG or rtsp://IP:88/live/MPEG4 or rtsp://IP:88/live/H.264
  6. Sometimes I get info from customers that the cant setup ACTi KCM-5111, I dont get it? Whats so difficult?! It took me like 1 minute to set this scene: BuJg7JUMfFs Whats wrong with that picture? I know that IQ763 would be better, but KCM-5111 is almoust half its price. For camera in that price range I think its rly nice.
  7. Hello Im trying to stream file via VLC and connect it as RTSP camera stream to Exacq and GeoVision. I can see stream from other computers using VLC, but i just can'c connect it to Geo or ExV. Maybe someone tryied this? Any tips?
  8. If I may - for dar areas I suggest IQeye cameras, especialy new 3 and 76X series - rly nice low light performance: Here is new IQ765 with forced "day mode": 3HGm1fs8hxo Sorry about that strange "choking" - laptop is too slow.
  9. I hope that rat is ok. That last step looked ominous. You should put some music to that video. If I may make a suggestion, go with Ben, by Crispin Glover: HA! I remember that movie (oryginal Ben, was crying like baby). Thanks for suggestion/
  10. Hello Just got new GeoVision GV-BX140DW WDR camera. I have to say: - not bad image - good WDR - rly good price Some videosamples and comparisons, tested on animals 7fbNNrb5UR8 zGBSqftfQ1g
  11. Define "doesn't work"? Can you not turn the zoom or focus barrels? Do the lock screws not loosen? Do the barrels turn but won't achieve focus? This camera comes with "optimum focus range that has been set before it is delivered out of the factory. If you turn the lens, it may cause incorrect focus and vague images", but it is 3x optical zoom camera. So if i get it right - you can remote zoom but no autofocus? How bad is that?
  12. I find this soft rly useful. Its new on the market, and it is not so popular like Milestone or Geo, but is this bad? They want to be on the market, so they are rly listening to suggestions. There is no problem with adding new cameras to the list. Just try that free 16ch version, You can use it as long as You want, with only one limitation - 1TB archive.

    WV-SC385 near a microwave oven.

Hi I have ACM-4201 installed just above microwave, microwave is used almost whole day by 10-25 employees. After 2 years still no harm to the camera

    Bosch AutoDome Junior Video sample

This. Also, why it take so long to focus? For a long while it was focused on moving cars outside the window, then focused on face.

    Geovision GV-NVR and Panasonic WV-SC385

We sell lots of GV-NVR's and I can tell You one thing - it woks good only with Geo PTZ cameras. I was tring to use ACTi, Vivo, Sanyo, Sony - always problems with moving camera with joystick. Using presets or mouse is not a problem, but GV-Joystick or GV-Keyboard - its hell.
  16. Any other camera will be better than this vivotek. Check KCM-5311E from ACTi - its cheaper, with 35x optical zoom, DNR.

GV-NVR (LPR) or GV-LPR madness and fruit loops!

Wow. That is a high failure rate for Geovision cams. What is the failure rate for Panasonic? Yes, it is high, not for all cams (for example BX120 7% failure rate) but still its not ACTi (like 0,9% and 3y warranty). I don't know failure rate for Panasonic, we don't sell those. And finaly i uploaded that BX120D video: ThHMZwwaQKU

GV-NVR (LPR) or GV-LPR madness and fruit loops!

HA! And You would loose that bet Geo cameras are "not bad" for that price. They are little bit buggy and break a lot (like 10-15% failure rate), but they give You not bad image @ fair price and rly good software. Here you got some photos from BX110 (cheapest Geo box camera): https://www.dropbox.com/gallery/6833159/1/BX110?h=aca70a And here is videosample from BX120 - in my opinion best GeoVision camera: eHk1tKCAmkE And here is closed in box, 0.3lux, 1/50 shutter (youtube dosnt work for me today, I will upload it later): http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6833159/GeoVision/BX120.0.3lux.avi

GV-NVR (LPR) or GV-LPR madness and fruit loops!

o.0 Hello There is no free GV-LPR in GV-NVR, You have to buy licence. And no, there is no free cam with that licence, you have to buy you own cameras. Geo recommend they own analogue cameras, but we use IQeye IQ752, and there is no problem with them. Also, if you want to connect LPR to recorded video from GV-NVR you have to buy licence WITH videocard for analogue cameras - stupid but necessary.
  20. excited over a webcam ...... you have to love it. junk. i think soundy needs to do a ip check on both your ip addresses. ill put $5 your from china I bet You are right sooo excited...

  22. Hello there Remember how You could set exposure windows on IQeye cameras? Like this: Yh1HQxjF7Ec Well I have new IQ762 and IQ765, and on those new "better" cams you can't set exposure windows anymore... well kind of... Model 1 and 2 Mpixel - you can set exposure window, BUT you cant set gain style (darkdetect, peakdetect etc.) Model 3 and 5 Mpixel - you can set gain style (darkdetect, peakdetect etc.), BUT you cant set exposure windows... WTF IQeye? WTF?!

    ONSSI and IQI 863N Support

Try PSIA protocol, it works like that on GeoVision and ExacqVision - no issues, full resolution, full framerate.
  24. Hey guys, I have new IQeye IQ762 camera. Here is a videosample, original and with PnP function from GeoVision, nice function, but it seams to "blur" some pixels (on license plates for exaple): Aaw1vw-yL8Q New auto focus feature is rly great and saves time. You can choose on what part of picture camera should focus on. Too bad it can't be done automatically on "night time", but I bet it can by done by script uploaded to camera. Soon I will make some night shots, and some 5.0 Mpixel shots.
