  1. hi. the only thing you need to look for is software or nvr that supports POS. how many registers. and what make. The model of the register is CHD 3030. There is only one register. I am on a bugget so need something cheap. Thanks.
  2. Hey guys, I just got a new request from a client to install IP CCTV cameras, so that it would not only display video but also information from the cash register (receipt details etc.) and to be honest I have never done such a thing and have no Idea how to do it. I've seen it done on analog cameras but never on IP. Can Someone tell me how to do this? Are there special cameras for this sort of thing, do I need some kind of text injector. I'm really stuck on this one.

    Help with Samsung camera comparison

Got to test the SCC-B2031. It has a unusual back focus setup. There is a weel that moves the entire CCD matrix, it is not a traditional ring that moves the lens closer. When you turn that weel at some point the CCD snaps into it's original position. Don't know if this kind of back focusing is better or not, because some cheaper lenses don't focus at all at their maximum or minimum zoom.
  4. Has anyone used these SCC-B2031 and sdc-415. Is there any difference between them? I used only the sdc-415 and now would like to find an alternative to it. Thanks.
  5. Hey, I always used DC auto Iris lenses outdoors. One day one of these lenses broke and because I didn't have one, I put a simple 4 mm manual iris cheap lens. After viewing the night time recording I can't see any difference. If what that the cheap lens is even sharper that autoiris. Can anyone tell me what is it about autoIris that actually makes it better. Camera I used them on is Samsung sdc-415. What is more with varifocal autoIris I sometimes get a sharp picture in the center and blurry on the edges or vise versa.

    In car CCTV system

Hey guys! Can anyone tell me how to properly install a car CCTV system. I need 4 cameras and a recording device (could be a compact dvr or preferibly recording onto a laptop). One camera will observe the driver, other the passenger, the other two rear and front windows. Thanks!
  7. if you are talking about a camera for in the sticks were there is no power at all then you are going to have another problem i.e lighting. what is it you will be protecting with the camera. Will be protecting a forest. Wide areas up to 1 mile distance. There will be a lake, some fields. Purpose is to observe campers and poachers mosty during the day. I'm not expecting to cover everything with one camera. However I need to do something about powering each of them because there is no posibilty to lay cables.
  8. Hey, So I am looking for a powerful outdoor IP speed dome. Who can recommend something in terms of as much zoom and resolusion as possible. The best I could find is Pelco SD435-PG-E0
  9. Due to the climate where I need to mount the cameras solar and wind power is not a good solution. Maybe there is some kind of low power diesel generator solutions with a start and stop function (when the batery is charged) with a big fuel tank.
  10. Hello everyone, Got a new project to mount PTZ speed domes in a forest. The problem is that there is no posibility to get power cables to places where the cameras will be mounted. Need some kind of autonomous power source. Also will need to transmit signals to the recording server, so will need to power the antenas as well. Distances are from 0.5 to 10 miles. Any sugestions on how to make it happen?
