37 Network 2 MP Cameras project (Looking for advice)

Nothing personal, but how can u do 37 cams job without basic knowledge? Nothing personal once again!!! System was successfully deployed and handed over to customer, tomorrow i will pass by there to take some pictures as promised
  3. I am planning a 37 Network 2 Megapixel cameras project for one of our customers' 14 Story building, They have a server room on 8th Floor and for each floor they have a network switch which means they already have a LAN in their building. Previously i was thinking to use their network but changed my mind as i do not want CCTV System to depend on their existing network as they face network issues every now & then. We are about to use following components for the installation : Dahua 64 Channel NVR with 4000X8 = 32000 GBs of storage. Dahua 2 Megapixel P.O.E Domes. 8 Port P.O.E for each floor. 8 Port Gigabit Switches. 16 Port Gigabit Switch. Camera installation plan for each floor : 13 Floor 3 12 Floor 1 11 Floor 3 10 Floor 1 9 Floor 1 8 Floor 4 - Server Room where NVR will be installed 7 Floor 1 6 Floor 2 5 Floor 3 4 Floor 3 3 Floor 2 2 Floor 2 1 Floor 3 Ground Floor 8 Total 37 Cameras As mentioned above 8 Port Full P.O.E For each floor is in our plan because in future they might need to expand number of cameras, i was wondering if we can use 8 Port FULL P.O.E NVRs (just to power up cameras) Please note maximum length per camera on each floor would not exceed 50 Meters. Networking plan : one length of Cat6 Cable from 8th floor (server room where NVR & 16 Port Gigabit switch will be placed) to 11th floor and deploying one 8 Port Gigabit switch so i can link 9 Cameras from Floors (9 - 13) This way i will have to take separate Cat6 cables from mentioned floors to 9th floor. for 4 cameras on 8th floor (where NVR will be placed) i will run CAT6 directly from 16 Port Gigabit switch into P.O.E Switch to link up 4 cameras on 8th floor. one length of Cat6 Cable from 8th floor (server room where NVR & 16 Port Gigabit switch will be placed) to 5th floor and deploying one 8 Port Gigabit switch so i can link 9 Cameras from Floors (4 - 7) This way i will have to take separate Cat6 cables from mentioned floors to 5th floor. one length of Cat6 Cable from 5th to 3rd floor as now we have a link to server room (8th floor) and deploying one 8 Port Gigabit switch so i can link 7 Cameras from Floors (1 - 3) This way i will have to take separate Cat6 cables from mentioned floors to 5th floor. Lastly another length of Cat6 to link up 8 cameras from Ground floor to 3rd floor. Question : is there a way to connect my CCTV System to their existing LAN to give them local access in some offices within building & keeping our dedicated LAN independent? I would like to know if it sounds like a solid plan for this installation. Any advice & suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hey Tom, Thanks for writing in. Would you please be more specific i didn't get it when you wrote (look at every other floor). Thanks.
  8. Hello Folks I need your advices on something i am not really familier with. At one of my client's project we are supposed to give them multiple views (which is what i am ok & have done before). But they told us to do something i really wonder if it is even possible. Given a simple 08 Channel Standalone Dvr is it possible for other 2 views (other than the MAIN VIEW LCD Directly connected to the DVR) to see only 2 Main Gate camera while Main screen is watchin all 08 Cameras. They have requested 2 extra views for their Guards & they do not want their Guards to see whats going on inside the Office. So they said the guard only be seeing Cameras fixed on the Main gates, while the main screen will be exploring through all the cameras. Generally, in normal cases the image of DVR View is displayed at all the connected screen. Please tell me how can i do it. What to do if my DVR does not have any SPOT OUT Ports. Please guide me. Thanks

  11. First of all I would like to thank you all for taking time ans reading my post. I've been in cctv industry for long time, Access control is truly new field to me, I've ZKTeco Access control terminal MA-300, I would be so much grateful to someone who will help me here in order to get this stuff working. What kind of power supply do I need? How do I perform wiring on Access control, exit button, door bell and battery? I am quite familiar with software and enrolling process so I believe that won't be a problem for me. Apart from it, is it possible to install another access control system or something that will allow us to keep a track of things like at what time who went out of the door? Please help me I am really looking forward to hear from you guys. Thanks

    Need help it's urgent

Thanks for the reply, Only one door Strike lock No alarms No fire alarm The door needs to be programmed in such way that it will allow to keep track of entries and exits as well, so instead of putting just exit button inside, what I think is a keypad or another access control terminal would do the job, if yes then is there a possibility to get a single door's lock connected with two terminals one inside and one outside the door?

Mic destortion when connected to DVR

    Thanks for information sir..
  19. Hello, At one of our client, we have installed 5 IR Cameras, We use 2 core shielded CCTV Cable so 5 lengths are running from DVR to Camera end. we used 3 powersupplies of 12V & 2.5 Amp each for 5 cameras, running 4 cameras on 2 power supplies & one on another. At the day time it worked fine but with some waves on image, but at night time eventually we suffered from video loss for all the cameras. I think it can be Voltage drop, can i run power directly from power outlet ie 220V AC & then connecting 12VDC at camera end seprately for each camera? can it be done in same cable cause i really am not willing to lay seprate power cable for each camera. Electrical Details are as follows : Input Voltage : 12VDC Input Range : 11 - 16VDC Surge Suppression : 1.5 KV Transient Power consumption : DC 12V +- 1V (Max 4W, Max 7W when IR Cut switch)

    Trouble with camera

Have you tried connecting the camera with some nearby power source?
  22. Thanks for reply. Actually we will only install single PTZ But i am planning to install one static Camera having Varifocal Lens To be installed either on left or right side so that it can give a general view of entire area and then there is PTZ for browsing around specifically
  23. Hello Guys I am again in need of your advices, So i am going to get this project here it is a covered Yard, They make some Steel inside. So they need to cover it & they want only one PTZ Camera installed inside. Now what i need you guys to do is please Advice me where should i place the camera. My personal opinion is to place it at equally centralized location, As the Area is around 185 Meter so the Camera would easily be seeing both sides at a distance of 185/2 = 93Mtr Approx. What do u guys think? please let me have some replies soon.
