  1. Are you serious? I don't know where to laugh and where to cry in your post.

Please for your sake and everyone else take it easy.

I really hope you are joking from the first word to the last...

    I'm not kidding.

to all you movers out there: GROW A PAIR!

This is a neighbor's kid & his GF. I just found out he's locked up until the end of the month.

His mom is letting his current POS GF stay there while he's there, the slime is driving her car, having traffic there at all hours (scumbag looking Fvckers). His GF actually came over to my shop about a month or 1.5 months ago after he beat her up. This new crew is hers. I don't like it but I'm sure as hell not going to move. I run my business out of here (944 square foot garage that's ~40% bench/production, 25% race shop (my motorcycles), the rest of it normal stuff.

The neighbors are on my side. I threw my glock 27 in my pocket after seeing the tatted up goon she brought over today.

I'm not looking for trouble but I'm sure as hell not going to leave become some west side princess and a recent widow (hubby died , her son's in the joint) is having fun with some girl time. Original issue came about when the homeowner was out of town.

There's still some weird **** going on at all hours but I'm friendly with the homeowner - she's just got some ****roaches. Neighbors on both sides of her are on my team, neighbors on one side of me is on my team, my other neighbor is unaware.

So maybe I stash one of my inside shotguns outside & slip a pistol in the pocket once in a while. This will blow over, I've put up more cameras, increased my security, tightened up the community (my neighbors have always been tight). F this S. I'll stomp a dick now n then, kick a c#Nt too if it needs it.

I've realized that the video quality of my DVR is not as good as I want so I'm going to experiment with different codecs/models/compression/ip cams, I'm adding motion sensors & an annunciator so I'll be aware of activity that's going on around me, plus I'm looking for annunciators (maybe counters) that'll let me know when zones have been triggered so I can just review interesting events.

I'm having a little fun with this although it's a little uncomfortable. I mean why the F does this dumb B have to make all of her neighbors uncomfortable? Lame.

  2. I agree... Whats worth more then a persons health, comfort and peace of mind?

    Be happy, be healthy!

But like I said before id things are that bad, just move someplace you can relax and not have to put up with the worry.

Lightening in my experience rarely strikes in the same place (or the same person) twice.

    Don't worry, be happy

  3. If it's ONVIF compliant I'd suggest Avigilon.. I've only had it a week and love it but no Dahua's are listed on their compat list but I think you can use any ONVIF compliant camera and be OK -- I think.

    Not so fast...

I have tried using Avigilon with Grandstream cameras (Onvif Compliant) and it didn't work because the protocol was implemented differently between vendors... Had to contact both vendors and they are trying to make it work with the different camera models GrandStream has out on the market (Firmware / Software upgrades.)

Also there seems to be a problem with motion detection implementation with the ONVIF protocol so motion detection might not work. I know Vivotek had trouble in this regard with Avigilon.

To be sure check the Avigilon supported camera list.

    http://www.avigilon.com/downloads/acc4/ACC-Support-Devices-4.10.0.48.pdf

Also call Avigilon and check if they have any pending support cases / trouble tickets with camera models you plan to use. Their tech support number is 1.888.281.5182. Better to be safe then sorry.

    Good Luck!

  4. ******Edit******

    I'm American, BTW.

That's good to hear... Let me guess you are not from the North East of the US...

    Edit:

I hope I didn't offend anyone from North East U.S...

Let me tell you why I said this... I'm always on the lookout for new products and as such call and interact with many people regularly. I have noticed that people from densely populated areas tend to be a little more resistant to sharing their knowledge with others and are less friendly in communication style...

One example: I call a company in NYC who is a OEM of CCTV Equipment... You would be amazed at how inpatient the salesman was in explaining to me the difference between two products... I call a canadian company and ask when a version of a software comes out. Even though they claimed not to know you wouldn't believe how thorough and polite they were in explaining this fact and how they made an extra effort to impress the customer...

  5. Robert;

    That's an interesting problem.

It seems like the IP system is freezing and crashing the network when you attempt to access it from a PC terminal... Do I understand you correctly?

P.S - You stole my name... I'm also Robert

We have a digiop hybrid dvr on our network....it has 8 ip based cameras and 12 standard cameras. When on the system it appears the network activity spikes to the point where it takes all network equipment offline. This happens intermittently every few days...if I restart the server or just unplug the network connection the network comes back online. I have tried changing the ip to a private 192.168.x.x address as recommended by digiop suppot...also I have reinstalled the machine with no change...any ideas

    Robert
