Was interested in reading here because I just installed an 8 Channel Exelon DVR to replace an old 4 channel cheapo DVR. Using a few of the old SVAT cameras but have 4 new CNB VCM-24VF's on the system and loving them.
This is at my home, but brings back memories of 30 years ago installing alarms and security systems when I was in the business. Wish I had a dollar for every vidicon tube that I changed and every old Panasonic WV200 series B/W cameras tha I aligned. Boy how have things changed. Cameras are so much better than they used to be.....
Nothing was plug and play in those days of VCR's, hand stripping coax and soldering BNC connectors and video switchers..
