    legal issues for security cameras

Check laws for your state, you should be able to google it and get the info you need. In Michigan as long as its in line of sight no problem. Put it up high and if you can see into there yard oh well its line of sight....
  2. Finally had time to work on this and I like to thank all of you for the suggestion. I did make adjustment to the shutter and noise reduction and its 100% better. Once again thank you all for your help.
  3. AWNfPRbYm0I This is just rain but people and bugs do the same thing.
  4. Not the DVR I have other cameras that don't do this. Def the camera.
  5. I sent the picture of the camera to your e mail address. There is no model number on the box.
  6. The camera I have works great during the day but at night if someone walks by or if a bug flys by it looks like its leaving a trail behind them. Not sure which settings I need to change on the cam menu. The camera is from Empire one of there 700TVL bullet cams.

Well I made more adjustments, looks alittle better than before. Not so washed out but then again its overcast outside. Between the camera and the DVR color adjustment this could drive you crazy

    IR reflection ?????

I have a SONY CCD EFFIO-E 700TVL 2.8~12mm Camera Wide Angle and @ night with the IR's on, there is a ring that shows up. Is that because the IR is reflecting off the lens ring? The night pic isn't that good because its raining. Also I can see the IR's glowing red and my other cameras I can't even see them unless I take a digital picture then the show up as a blueish light.

    650TVL Sony-Effio-E IR Weatherproof camera

Well I look somemore on these forums and found alot of information. I made adjustments to the camera and DVR and Wow what a difference. I used the shorter cable ( like you said to )with a 7 in LCD and the picture was great, then I hooked it back up to my DVR and made adjustment from there. The picture is sharper, clearer and even at night I can see alot more clearity from this camera. It looks like I'm going to buy another one of these camera for my setup. Thanks for the help, will be lurking around alot to get more information. Thanks again !!
  11. I bought one of these cameras to add to my system. I'm currently using 2 wireless astak 900mhz cameras and a DVR. The wireless looks alot better than the Effio camera does wired. And at night I can barely see anything at all. ( there is only alittle light @ night around my house ) The instructions are very vage to say the least, I'm still trying to learn what to set all the on screen functions to. If anybody can give any suggestion that would help alot. I wish I would of found this forum before I bought any of system... Buy the way great forum I hope to learn alot !!!
