  1. I have an Everfocus EDR400 with a DiamondMax16 80GB ATA133 harddrive. It has 5400 rpm and 2 mb buffer. I want to put a bigger one in. Do I need to stay with 5400 rpm and 2 mb buffer? I found a Hitachi that is 750mb but has 7200 rpm and larger buffer. I have found some refurb 320 GB 5400,2mb hd's. TIA

I think its wild blue. on a data sheet for the modem says it has built in firewall. I have found a config guide but has no config for firewall. http://www.cpe-labs.com/PDFs/SkyVistaPDFs/SurfBeam%20Modem%20Manual.pdf
  4. I have a customer in the boonies with satellite internet service. They have a VIA SAT Surf Beam ITE SM2000 modem. They want to be able to access from the internet the Eclipse nubix 4 BC. It is working over the local network. I can't find any info on configuring this modem. Anyone got a dvr working over a sat internet connection? Any help appreciated.

    License Plate Glare

would back light compensation work in an application like that?
  6. Amazing what you can learn on the internet if you have the time. Looks like you have to disable the bottom rod and put electric strike for the top rod. Folger Adam makes a 310 series strike that will do double doors. The catch is it must have a Pulman type top latch or one must be added. Just my luck the doors I am quoting don't have this Pulman latch it has plain old straight rods. Now to figure out if I can change these doors to Pulman latch......
  7. Anybody have any ideas on best way to do an electric lock for concealed vertical rod locking device on double glass storefront type doors with no center post? Am I stuck with maglock and RTE motions? Really need a strike so they can use prox or key to enter and then just push the crash bar to exit. Can't see putting a strike in top and bottom of frame tho...... bean

    off site video recording

Thanks. Been using low end so long forgot about the email notification. Is that the Geovision or another brand you are referring to?
  11. What are some solutions for off site recording of video? Customer asked about sending recordings off site in case DVR unit was stolen from remote location. Maybe like motion detection triggered.
