  1. I have a Digimerge DHU516 DVR. It has a 500GB Hard drive. Fortunately, in the 6 months that I have owned it, I have never needed to export a portion of video for some sort of investigation, until now. I need a 3 minute clip for a Worker's Compensation Claim. I need to send it to the claims department. It has 3 options for archiving: 1. CD/DVD Burner? Not sure which one it actually is. The advertisement said DVD burner when I bought it, but in the devices list on the DVR its lists it as a CD Burner. Either way, It won't recognize any disk that I put in it, CD or DVD. It just keeps saying "Please Insert Media". 2. Flash Drive. Can't store much. Take a very long time. 3. On the Digiclient software on my computer. Takes just as long as the flash drive. My problem is, It archives in .avi format. The file won't play in a standard media player like Windows Media Player. The only thing I can get it to play in is Digimerge's "Backup Player". Now my question is, how can the claims department watch this video without the "Backup Player"? Or is there no way at all? Thanks for your help!

Well I ordered one and they sent me an e-mail saying my order was cancelled because it was either out of stock or discontinued. guess I'll go with the powered splitter set-up.

Looking for a 16 Channel DVR and 8 Cameras - Need ideas

[edit by mod-store link removed] That is the system I purchased for my business. I got the Digimerge DVR not the Cantex DVR as stated on the site. Compared to other systems I looked at, Its pretty reasonably priced. I've had it for four months and no problems. It has a 500GB Hard drive, but it is upgradeable. I get about 5 Days of recording on highest FPS setting.

    Help linking POS to DVR

Well, that would definitely be why it isn't working then. Those are the parts I used. Any suggestions of where to get the things you listed? Thanks for the reply! Zach
  9. I need help recording my POS screen on my DVR. I just threw something together with parts I had laying around. It worked out in my mind, but, its not actually working. So, obviously my theory didn't work too well. My POS monitor is VGA. I used a VGA splitter, into a VGA to RCA adapter, then a RCA to BNC adapter, then into my DVR with BNC. Jumbled, I know. Like I said, I just threw together some pieces I had lying around. I'm just getting no signal on the DVR. Any ideas are appreciated! Thanks!
