What NVR software are you using?Avigilon has a H.264 full D1 encoder @ 30 FPS per ch. as well.
hello all
i'll use milestone as VMS
avigilon is very hard to find in France, i'm disapointed about axis so i wonder about bosch sony or verint
any feedback about those 2 brands regarding 4cif encoding?

jpeg 2000 is unnecessary for this application, and i need to encode 24 cam, so bandwith and storage will be problem

Hello
i need an encoder to monitor traffic and read licence plate, car arounds 50km/h,
i tried an axis q241 but using 4cif resolution i have interlascement problems
i need to find an encoder that would grab 4cif or D1 without those interlacing problems,
i need 7.5fps/channel max
your help would be appreciated

Hello
i currrently use ltc 0495 to catch licence plates at night (no APRN soft behind, i just need to read a plate if needed),
i use AES and a default shutter speed of 1/500 + an extra IR, the cam always use a shutter speed beetween 1/500 and 1/10000.
i need to add a more discret system again to catch licence plates (it will catch plates on public street),
i wonder about the dome version, the ndn 0498 flexidome 2X
is the dome version as good as the box version?
can i use the same AES system with a shutter speed always above 1/500 on the dome?
it seems that on the dome the shutter will automaticly use longer exposition time to maintain a correct overall lighting,
can someone confirm this?
also do you think the ip 720p version would suite my needs too (ndn 921), is it enough sensitive for this application?

Hello
anyone tried Bosch HD cams (NBN‑832) ?
i was happy with my ltc 0495, i wonder about those HD cams....
how could it be compared (in term of image quality and details when you zoom, night sensistivity) to Mobotix or Sony SNC cams?
i tried sony snc ch280 and i was not impressed by the image quality (not taliking about WDR), but the post processing on the sensor makes me feel that the details on the frame where not as good as on the mobotix, pixels tends to be blured even in MJpeg mode
any feedback would be appreciated
regards
Michael

i think it's easy as long as you ensure enough light for the plate to be readable

i put the camera in the simplest settings, no backlight adjustment, no exposure zone adjustment, just put target brightness @ 25% to have a correct illumination for the plate...

hello & sorry for my english
i'm interested by the new sony hd cam,
it's not clear on youtube, does viewDR make a 'ghost effect' on moving objects due to low shutter speed?
VMS for mobotix

Hello
i'm tired about MxCC and it's constant bugs
i need a VMS software that could manage correctly Mobotix cameras :
Mxpeg support
audio support
a good search method like MxCC 2.5 pre-saved sequences quick search
i tried milestone
pros :
good bandwith management
audio support
mxpeg support
cons:
no event search list within a defined time interval
weird export using non database format
no direct picture export (like a right click on picture > save snapshot)
problems with the new sequence record search (with mobotix cams, one sequence is generated every 1.5 sec whereas it works fine with my axis q241 encoder)
i also tried avigilon but i have other problems:
pros :
cool event search and timeline search
simple and efficient layout
motion detection is based on the camera internal motion detection system
cons :
no audio support
weird bandwith management (8Mb/sec for my 5 mobotix cams whereas Milestone used only 2.5mb/sec)
do you another recording VMS that could suite my needs?
