This is the MPEG version of Digimaster which desn't support the App. Its successors Digimaster h.264 and Digimaster HRD do support access via iPhone / Android App.

Hello, latest f/w is installed? You will find it here, on the right side under "Software": http://en.cbc-cctv.com/products/recording-equipment/digimaster-hrd-dvr/ Did you test it via UMTS or also when S2 is connected to a WLAN?

Hello Dave, it also works without IR receiver. For power up, try pressing '+' and 'II' (pause button).
