    Night time only system?

    My residential only needs a night time outdoor cctv setup (for now). Should I be looking for just B&W IR cameras if they are even made any more? Also, are there effective add on illuminators available for broad areas say 40' along the house. Thanks

    Residential: I want to move my DVR into the wiring closet but have a couple of small flat screen monitors for it, one in the kitchen for instance. I want to control the DVR from these as in touch screen to change channels or zoom. My old DVR has VGA and HDMI but not much functionality. Is this possible? Thanks

    New here but a quiet lurker for awhile. Looks friendly enough. I have equipment from my trade show days that I am installing at home. Whole different ball game. I will be reading and asking for needed guidance. I live in MO with my 6 kids and bride. I am a programmer by trade and a hobby junkie at night. rheine
