  1. Mike, How old is the card? Is it a GV-800A or B or does it not have a letter in it? With the GV-800 A or B cards you can have up to two installed in the same DVR. However, make sure your hardware is capable of supporting them. Having more than one card at the very least will require a faster processor, more RAM, and a bigger hard drive. You'll also double the recording channels from 16 to 32. We've had some customers order the additional card and then have problems such as the DVR freezing up or become extremely slow (almost non-responsive) because the hardware could not handle the reqirements of the additional card. Here's a link to the GV-800B: http://www.geovision.com.tw/english/Prod_GV800B.asp Hope this helps! RYAN
  2. Hello, I have a customer with a Speco TH series 16 channel DVR. The company who sold them the unit is no longer in business and the customer was never given the administrative password. I've spoken to Speco and was advised that I need to fill out a form and send it back to them, which is not a problem, however they need a port to be opened on the network that the customer's IT dept. will not allow. I told Speco and they said I would have to pull the unit out of service and send it to them. Unfortunately this is not an option either as the customer can not be without a DVR for an extended period of time while it is in Speco's possession being reset. Is there a way to reset it without pulling it out of service for an extended period of time? I don't have an issue with setting it up again if there is a work around that will reset it back to "out of the box" status. I've already tried removing the BIOS battery on the MoBo, no luck. I've also tried the default passwords too with no luck. I appreciate any help you guys can provide!!
