    wireless mouse with Apollo HD

I tried my logitech mouse and it works just fine also. Once I get all the wires ran it will make it so much easier to view.

    wireless mouse with Apollo HD

Cool I have one hanging around that I used to use but was not sure if it would work. I will have to try it.
  3. This might have been answered but the search says nothing found. With the Qvis Apollo can I use a wireless mouse with it? or does it have to be the wired mouse?

    CCTV analog cameras specs

I just installed the exelon VHN-955 and for this being the first time I have installed a camera it seems to have a pretty good picture to it. It is a true day/night dome camera. If I knew how to get just snapshots from the DVR I would post a couple for you to see.

    Which Hard Drive?

I ended up getting a WD black. It is not really loud plus once it gets put away I won't be able to heard it anyway.

    cnb cameras

I seen that and I found some one eBay and the person selling them told me to make sure I buy from an authorized reseller and that he was one of them. But that list shows eBay as not one.

Anyone have a list they can give me for authorized dealers of these cameras?

    Which Hard Drive?

I am about to buy a Qvis dvr that does not come with a HD. They recommend a Western Digital Caviar. My question is which color is best to use? I have read Black is best performance but more noise and power consumption. Blue is middle of the road. Green is low performance and power consumption and almost silent while running. All that being said some post say that most people would not be able to tell a difference in the three when install. I just want to get the right one for the dvr.

    system questions

I thought that camera was a true day/night camera. So I thought that meant it really does not need IRs. Am I wrong about that?
  10. I need help deciding what system to get. My first question is there a big difference in the Qvis Zues vs. Qvis Apollo? If I get one of those DVR I will probably get the CNB VCM-24VF camera is the a good choice? Or should I just go with the Samsung SME-2220 since it comes with 4 cameras, DVR, HD, and monitor? This would be my first system and it would be used outside. Any insight yall can give me would be very helpful. Thanks

    DVR and Camera question

Thanks for the replies, since I am just starting to look I thought I would ask. What are the baluns for? Do they help to make the picture clearer?
  12. Sorry if this has been answer before but I have been reading different tips on this forum all day and have not ran across this yet. I am looking at getting a small system for my home. I really only need/want 2 to 3 camera. Before reading everything here I was just going to buy a kit and call it good but I see you can get better quality for about the same price by not buying a kit. All that to ask this. What kind if any camera can you just hook into the back of the DVR and not have to worry about running to a power outlet? I would like for the camera to get power from the DVR if possible. Thanks for the help and again sorry if that is asked a lot. Mark
