Dear all, In order to keep existing analog cameras and connect it with IP based surveillance system, I am testing several video servers recently (Axis 241Q/Plustek VS540i/VIVOTEK VS8401),I make some comparison between them, please see the attached comparison table.. I prefer Plustek and VIVOTEK now because the “local storage” and TV out function, and but still have some questions: 1.For the local storage with SD card, is the SD card for video storage or just for recording event log(the capacity of the SD card is very limited)? 2.Is the TV out function compatible with all kind of TV/monitor? Thank you for your reply, hmm, I will check the Aver(Avermedia?) hybrid standalone , but I still feel confused about the difference between NDVR and Hybrid system because the Plustek NDVR is more like a video server to me, but some manufactures(NUUO? )also call Hybrid system as NDVR… BTW…I agreed it is not easy to find the information regarding Plustek on the internet, when you google Plustek, you will see their website but it is more related to office equipment. Dear all, Recently we have a chain store project to be installed, in that site, it has a old CCTV system existing and customer ask us to replace it with a new IP system, after some studies, I think I will use standalone NVR since this small site will only connect to 4-8 cameras, I am now considering Plustek NV4200 (standalone NVR, supports 4 channel video inputs), I have tried their free demo site and it seems suitable for my needs but I haven’t installed their product before so I am collecting some use experiences of it , does anyone here know about it? My another question is that if I want to combine the analog cameras and IP cameras with this Plustek NV4200, how can I do that? Because my customer is not willing to discard their previous analog cams, they want to use new IP cams and old analog cams together, is it possible for Plustek NV4200? Please give me some advices.
