Is there any DVR which can operate thru IP Kvms. i need to control the DVR's Mouse sitting in remote location. Please Help pkf

Hi Kelston, Noted the contents. Solution 1 will work for you. Raritan KVM,s. Model DKX2-108 will suit for your requirment. You can manage DVR by LAN as well as WAN. Am doing the same with Raritan. PKF

Dear Kelston, Can i know which location you live. I have come acros this issue with solutions. Solution 1: Raritan KVm's Doing good job in this issue. Solution 2: A local guy is modfying mouse and makeing it workable. Mouse works until 150 Mtrs. Solution 3: Vztec USB to RJ45 Extension Adapter supports for 50 Mtrs. Dear AK, Your Solution is not going help. IF we connect KVM directly to DVR then it is fine. Connecting to System and handleing Remote software will not solve our purpose. See we need to control the Console screen of the DVR Remotely. This can be possible only thru IP KVM's. Iam looking for Good IP KVM which can support. See Atten is not supporting this DVR and also iam looking in extending the IR-Remote Control also. PKF

There are USB extenders which i have to use nearly 8 mouses on my table which looks messy. Instead if iam use KVM then no cables no messy. thats the reason iam preferring KVM's. I need another help from you people. Can i extend IR-Remote Control of DVR to 150 Meters. If so how. PKF

Thanks you have understood my problem now. Resolution is big problem. Watching from CMS is differ from Watching Live in VGA port (T.V.). So i prefer watching thru T.V. from VGA out. when iam watching channel tour i would like to pause the cam's and choose a specfic area in between. In this situation i require mouse operation of all DVR's PKF

Dear Tom, All you said i have done. i.e. 1) All DVR's in one Place - Yes 2) All Dvr's Connect to LAN - YES 3) All DVR's Controlled Thru CMS - Yes (except VGA Channel tour settings) 4) All DVR's connect thru KVM - Yes but mouse not working 5) All DVR's Mouse control from a remote location - NO Iam strucked here and finding for a device or some technology.........

Thanks for all your replies, after going thru all the replies, i again tell my requirement and what i need, 1) i need to control DVR's Mouse from Remote 2) i need to control Channel Tour settings from remote. If above 2 points are clear i will be much happy. Thanks again PKF

give me your contact details let me explain it clearly. Am sure sling box will not suite for my requirement. Note you cannot change channel tour settings remotely, you need to present in front of DVR to change it. Am sure that KVM is going to suite for the reuirement and i need a good KVM. PKF

In Remote viewer there is no option to manage Channel Tour. In sling box i cannot control mouse. PKF

Dear Sir, I checked with slingbox. It does not support mouse operation. I have PC already near DVR. what i think is KVM is the only option to operate the DVR's. i need to find which one is the best IP KVM among in market. i checked with local KVM which mouse is not working. PKF

Thanks for your support and replies. CMS Software which come along with DVR CD is only upto certain extent. It is not helpful in all the ways. In My case i need to control the DVR's mouse. I found no option in CMS. Please help. PKF

Thanks for your fast replies. yes you are right. But i need to see the Video channel tour which is displaying at monitor. The Client s/w or CMS S/W does not display this Channel tour. If i have KVM switch i can see the exact channel displays. PKF
