    DVR systems wholesale?

The LTS units are really good, and if you are in the united states its easier to send them stuff for warranty (not that I've ever had to send a dvr in for warranty), because they have USA offices, and they ship from USA so you spend less on freight. Remote viewing and pricing are pretty good. which dvr model are you using ? I found an LTS dealer near me. I use all the models.

Thanks guys my supplier sells all of these mounts that are at these sites.... just making sure that is what you would use as well ' (Pana-vise does have some more specialized mounts that my supplier does not though.)

Which Indoor Mount for Box Camera?

That's what I'm asking the community to suggest is a simple mount that they would use.
  4. I'm not understanding you? I'm going to get some good baluns, I never said I wasnt.. (Actually I've already bought the baluns from my supplier and I'm going to install them tomorrow.) Don't have a need to swap out the 12VDC 5AMP Power Supply, so I don't know why it's being suggested all of the sudden?
  5. I am thinking about putting 4 box cameras indoors, I have seen them in banks on a mount and NOT an enclosure. http://www.aliexpress.com/product-fm/360534790-Case-For-CCTV-DVR-Camera-Waterproof-Enclosure-Housing-wholesalers.html They don't need to be in the weatherproof enclosure like this when I use them indoors. (At least I don't think.) What mount do you suggest for box cameras?
  6. Using only two wires on a Cat5e cable would also be a problem; every balun I have seen that pases 12V power over Cat5 cable uses 2 pairs (4 wires) for the power. If power was the problem it wouldn't turn on.
  7. Ahh ok so what does it mean when camera specs say Electronic Shutter: 1/60 ~ 1/100,000
  8. It also says they should be good for 50 meters. None of the runs are over 60-80ft probably.
  9. That's exactly what I needed to know Thank you! Where is the link to that calculator? 3.6Amps is a rather large amount of power consumption!
  10. What if it was cat5 being used. Could you use more than one pair ? And how would that affect the AWG ?

Camera not switching to night mode ?

The quality is not 580 it doesn't look like...does it have lower htvl for black/white? There may be a cabling issue.
  12. Thank you... Why do we need a fast shutter speed for this application?
  13. Yes that is the prOblem I did not realize cat5 had a higher resistance.
  14. So. You can capture clear images of license plates using a "regular" camera, but it needs to be a pretty good regular camera. The following features are essential: * Fast shutter speed. 1/1000th of a second works well. * The camera must allow you to set this shutter speed as the slowest under any lighting conditions. * Progressive scan helps a lot, especially at larger capture angles. * For night-time capture, a good source of light is absolutely critical. * You also need a way to filter out the glare from car headlights. Commercial cameras typically use an IR-pass filter and an IR illuminator to solve the latter two problems. As you have probably realized by now, there's no way in hell you're going to get all that for $150. I have one of these cameras. http://www.directron.com/cmb160wtd.html With an IR illuminator couldn't it capture a clear image of a plate? The only thing that confused me is this first you say fast then you say slow, which is it?
  15. DVR > Balun > Cat5 To Wall > Ebay Connection > BNC F/F Keystone < Ebay Connection < Cat5 To Camera < Balun < Camera well see you in a few days when you WILL still have a PROBLEM 6 connections on each camera I've done this the same way with regular BNC cable in the past and didn't have any problems out of it. I really do appreciate you helping me.
