Night vision seems to be in a fog

left cam ok but right one little fogy Same type of camera If you know how to fix it it's a easy fix. Problem was the ir light find the way to the lens internally You can fix this with a rubber o ring to isolate the lens. Is it like this or worse? Is yours like bullet type camera? Try to unscrew the front ring of the cam (with hand)

How to identify 1/4, 1/3 Cmos 420 TVL or 600 TVL Board

AC-4951-CGI AviCom-4951-CGI = cmos+ircut The purple board (40$)has an option to add a mic, it has a 4 wire connector V12vGA Bad picture at night.(in total darkness) The blue board (30$) it's a cheaper one but no audio option and a little better picture at night. At daylight the picture is like a CCD.

How to identify 1/4, 1/3 Cmos 420 TVL or 600 TVL Board

Here`s what I have two diferent board sold with the same name.
  9. This is a simple cheap dome camera So when opened if looks like this (IR plate - red/black 2 wires) and (board red/black/yellow 3wires or 4 with audio) its easy just unplug the IR plate on the connector if it has one if not cut the two wires. IR plate: red-power black-ground board: red-power black-ground yellow-video if the cam has electrical IR cut filter (on IR plate has more than two wires) better not disabling it. Try to unscrew the body of the cam if has no visible screws.

    hikvision 7200 dvr

In the post above is how to turn off/on audio warnings. I have DS-7204HVIST/SE & DS-7208HVIST/SE On first boot (camera/vga monitor connected no HDD ) I have the same annoying beep Both of them take a few seconds to boot up and start recording. When I have a faulty HDD it takes time (about a minute) to boot up but no recording at all. Try to connect vga or bnc monitor/tv for the first time.

Washed out night vision on new camera

Something about ir dome reflection More is not always better My setup (same camera different ir plate) Ir - same size 5mm The lens has to be as close as possible to the protective glass
  19. What causes this let say problem with day/night switching. Is it the light sensor on IR plate or it has to do with the camera lens? I found somewhere that the white camera have "sharp 1/3" 3,6mm F1.2 but gray camera say "sony 1/3" 3,6mm Hi res. All cameras have similar picture all day except the white camera switch to color 1-2 hours earlier / after No osd settings on all cams. So if I buy a replacement lens for the two gray cam could I get better results?

    IR dome fixed lens day/night

Found the problem First it's not a ccd cam but cmos (in the manual is stated as ccd) I replaced the ir board from another cam to see if there is a improvement. And yes there is. Now the cam is installed with only 12-ir board and stay's in color for longer.

    Hello from serbia

Hi there I have a few questions about cameras Joe.
  23. Six9siX-Joe

    TVL or something else

Tv Yes. From the technical side maybe the lens mount is not centered on chip I'll try to fix it when I got time. Tnx all for the info. I just wasn't sure if this is normal for a low tvl cam.
  24. Six9siX-Joe

    TVL or something else

Than You for the info. I think I don't have the option to switch to 640x480 Here's some pic of dvr configuration
  25. Six9siX-Joe

    TVL or something else

Yes. With that camera, there's always a black line, no matter where U plug it. I'm planing to buy another pair of cams but in my country I have a lot more choice of 420tvl than bigger tvl cams. The only reason I didn't do it yet is that black line. So if I get it right, every cam that is plugged in the dvr should be fully stretched on screen or not?
