  1. I usually use bullets outdoor and domes inside. I personally avoid the turrets myself as they are much easier just for someone to walk up and turn it to wherever you want. The bullet has that little rim on the top that actually makes a difference and is painted black for a reason. Usually cameras mounted inside are in reachable range of people while the bulletin should be mounted outside so its higher and less likely to be hit/moved. Bullets normally have better IR range then dome units.
  2. The camera itself does motion and the NVR needs to be compatible to take those signals. To setup motion that records on a DVR on hikvision you need to Enable Motion Detection. Draw the grid on the screen. Enable Notify Surveillance Center and Trigger Channel.
  3. Don't forget about bandwidth availability. Assuming you fill this NVR with 64 cameras and lets say they are 3MP cams which use about 4Mbps each. Thats 256 but your DVR only supports 160Mbps. So to keep your quality level up you are going to have keep your cams at a lower quality rate plus you need some of that 160Mbps for play back so you need to reduce your quality even more. Just something to think about.
  4. In my IDF spots I have had success with d-link DGS-1210-10P. 10 Ports all POE and vlan support.
  5. All product has a unique identified that is scanned in. The goal requested by management is to be able to highlight a piece a have the system track where it goes and what truck it goes onto in case of theft.
  6. Company has multiple locations all over the united states.
  7. Do you know what analytic system can do this? RFID will not cut it as a large chunk of our warehouses run as crossdocks and inventory is only there for a day not long enough to spend the money/manpower to tag anything.
  8. I deal with a lot of warehousing I have heard of but not confirmed that's its possible to select a box and the system will track that will show you where that box shows up on the recordings. Has anyone heard of such a thing?
  9. I currently planning a system where we will be using hikivision DS-2CD2732F-I dome and bullet cameras. DVR we are going to use follows onvif standard and is an Dahua. I am trying to find a camera that is can possibly do 15FPS or higher. Camera needs to be outdoor and I am trying to get as high as quality picture of vehicles coming down a driveway and if we are lucky a license plate. Sadly its going to be at least 30-50 feet off due to physical building layout. Can anyone make a recommendation?
  10. I have a combination of ibeams and a metal beam ceiling to mount cameras. I am trying to find a way to mount these to the ceiling and I beams in our building. I already have the hardware purchased and the layout planned out but mounting them has become a challenge. I was thinking of using eletrical boxes to the ceiling but I am unsure what type of box I can find to run a pipe down. Any advice is appreciated.
