Without any other info, it sounds to me like loose connection, as you say when you moved the cable the video came back on briefly.

Tip for searching on ebay, I usually tick 'uk only' (tick whatever country choice you are in, ie usa only if in USA) to avoid the millions of cheap junk foreign cams and accessories.
Then in the search you can put any terms you wish to exclude after the search with a minus sign before them, for example
cctv camera -lead -psu -adapter -etc
to remove leads, psu's, adapters etc from the search results.

What country is this in?
I find it hard to stomach that the hospital knows so little about its own equipment they dont even know the model, or the basics of how it operates?

Can you not get power from the lamp post?

Are you saying the police could not view the footage, or the police tried to brighten the image up but could not, or they managed to brighten the image, but it sill showed nothing useful?

Not come across that one before, perhaps its a custom job?
What is it controlling?

EzCCTV do a distribution box for geovision to replace the pigtails, never used one, like the idea of it, but no idea how much they cost...
Product here.

Welcome to the forum, fellow Englander.

I managed to pick up one of these extreme cameras, they are used in some of the extreme cctv products, does any have a manual for it?
I have looked all over, plenty of spec sheets, and adverts but not one sign of a manual.
It is controllable by rs232, but I have no idea what protocol.....
Its working, but would love a read of the manual to fully be able to take advantage of all the features...

Was the car itself not alarmed?

Perhaps BBV (building block video) may know more, as they specialise in telemetry controllers for this sort of thing.
-
Cant seem to find anything on it, according to that page it could be a dennard 661 - but hard to tell for sure.
Usually, the wires control the motors directly, sometimes they have additional wires for feedback.
Perhaps someone else is familiar with that model who will be around later.
If you can open it up you should be able to see what wires go to which motor...
Usually with these style the telemetry controller just send the voltage direct to whichever pair of wires controls the motor it wants to move....

its on this page
That says 24v, but some of the uk style ptz are 24 and some are 240...
I am still trying to find more info.

I will see if I can find any info for you, give me a few minutes.

Does it look like this?

can dates and times on cctv images be tampered ? how will someone know if it has been tampered , for example i have the time for a first picture at 20:09:16.362 at the right side its shows 6936 ,the second picture 20:12:12.364 and at the right side its shows 14792 . iam a bit suspicious how this number has gone up from 6936 to 14792 within 3 mins ???Regards
View the original footage, what that happens to the time and the number, see if anything is amiss.
Perhaps the number is showing each individual frame number, 25fps for pal or 30fps (frames per second for NTSC, as the are interlaced, ie made up of two pictures per frame, the number could be going up 50 or 60 each second...
Without knowing what the other number is, or what its actually doing in the footage, its hard to know for sure.
Best to just view the original footage, and that should shed light on the matter.

Have you tried the default passwords? They are on page 84 of this manual.
If your lucky the passwords will still be at default settings.

I would ask for a refund and send it back, reminding him he said it would work with IR....
The camera will, as said earlier in the thread, have a IR cut filter, which is blocking the IR, the other camera does not have a IR cut filter by the sounds of things.

You can use the 'system idle protection' in geovision to automatically restart the recording of the cameras after a preset time idle. This means you can turn of the recording to access various setup options, and if you forget to turn recording back on, it will do it automatically after the system has not been touched for a while, I have mine set to a minute or so.
Its under general settings in the setup menu.

Hi, welcome to the forum.
Do you know the model no of the dome?
What is not working? Is it just control, or video and control?
