    License plate reconginition camera

I think this might have been on here before. One of the sales associates at my work was interested in it, I think they were looking for $300 to $500, but compared to most License cameras that isn't bad. You can find the website in google with the words speed bump cam. We haven't purchased one for testing because of the functionality and our location. We don't have a good bottle up for cars or a way to wirelessly, or use underground cable, to get it hooked up. I do like their solution to the glare problem from the head lights, since the position puts it in a place where the headlights just aren't hitting it. It is also some thing that could probably be made cheaply with existing materials.

Am I just not spending enough money?

I am probably paranoid but I have had a lot of issues with any IR domes that doesn't have a flat area for the lens and IR (I swear the concavity of the dome screws the IR's up or some thing). I would talk to your seller and see about an exchange to a bullet style or one of the cheap vandal proof IR's that have a flat shooting area like the VTC-IRHCM1 or one of those Korean models that are popping up all over the place.

    Anyone use Surveilux?

I have used and tested the camera before. It is a good little camera and I haven't had any problems with it so far. If you are going in the cheap range then I would highly suggest this over a Vitek C410 and any thing over a Cop-USA CD35. You get your bang for the buck from this little guy. I haven't had a problem with one yet, so I don't know how effective their RMA process is yet. If it is annoying as Nuvico's then I might reconsider its value.
  4. The company I work for has a good relationship with them. They treat their resellers well and they actually call us up and say they are having specials. That is huge in my book since I do ad promotion for my site. I haven't had to deal with them yet for RMA though.
  5. It hasn't happened very often but once in awhile a customer will come back to me scratching their head and saying that some one destroyed their computer dvr. Do any of ya'll know good lock box solutions? I tested one out that was just cheap sheet metal and haven't found any others that are more secure. Thanks ahead of time. -2mRobert
  6. We sell a card that is powered by rainbows and love... Actually the company I work for sells nothing but Geovision. They seem to be pro, we sell them to government branches all the time and they have never complained. If you are just wanting high class then I know that GV has a stand alone that looks like it is dressed to the nines. Or you should at least look at GV's website. It is very comprehensive.
