    Suggestions on new outdoor camera

Thanks for taking a look at the camera for me. I'm going to order one tomorrow and I'll post back once I have a chance to play with it a bit. Our parking lots are very well lit at night, so light levels shouldn't be much of a problem.
  2. Hi all, I'm a CCTV noob, but I'm learning a lot from this site. I've been browsing for outdoor cameras and I was wondering if anyone has experience with the one I've picked out. prosecuritywarehouse.com has a combo deal that looks like it'd be a good camera. You can view the package by clicking the link below and scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page. [edit by mod - link removed] I'd also be interested in any suggestions you might have based on your past experiences. I'm looking for something to cover two outside parking lots, so I'd like to have vari-focal and auto-iris lens. It gets pretty cold here in eastern PA during the winter and can also get very hot during the summer, so I'll need an enclosure with a heater and blower. We'd like to keep the cost per camera (cam+housing+lens) to somewhere around $300. All of our existing bullet cams are 12VDC, but I see most CCTV type cameras are 24VAC (same with heaters and blowers). Is the Altronix ALTV2416 a good power supply? It looks like exactly what I need, but I have no experience with that brand name. Thanks, Jeremy
