  1. what NAS should I use for Dahua's NVR? Is there any specific NAS like Onvif capable NAS required to be compatible with the NVR? So far I have tested but to no avail I could not set up the NAS recording with Dahua DVR. IP is as per the NAS's IP User and pass is as per the NAS's as well Port wise, does this matter since I the NAS is on local network as the NVR Remote path, I am not sure if this is the correct format \\19x.xxx.xx.xx\NVR Anyone here successfully set up the NAS for Dahua's NVR?

32 IP Cameras in one premise

My apologies, I am actually using 32 cameras, mixture of Dahua's HFW3200 and HDB3200. NVR wise, I am using 2 Dahua NVR3816.

32 IP Cameras in one premise

Hi, I'm actually using a NVR instead of network card. Is the installation method the same as network card?

32 IP Cameras in one premise

Hi, I have to deploy a total number of 32 IP Cameras in a single location. But I am afraid that the number of IP Cameras will congest the network. Currently, the company has an existing switch for its operation. I'm planning to lay new cat5e cables for all of the cameras, then use two new 24port switches for the IP Cameras. The current switch and 2 new 24 port switch with be uplinked. Then connected to the company's router. I've never installed IP cameras before, but I've asked around and my friends told me that as long as I am using separate switch, the processing will be done by the new switches, so it won't congest the network. Is this system stable, or is there any other way to deploy the solution?

    Dahua Alarm In

Hi, I have a client which requires me to configure a system that is rather difficult for me to comprehend, look forward to some help here from the gurus here. He has an IP camera IPC-HFW3200 with alarm I/O panel, then a NVR3216. He wanted to connect a push button to the IPC's alarm I/O, specifically Alarm in 1 and GND. The reason being that he wants to activate the recording only after he pushes the button. Problem is, the SD Card in the IPC starts recording when he pushes the button, but apparently it didn't trigger the NVR to start recording. Have any of you done a system similar to this before?
  6. Hi guys, my client requested something beyond my knowledge. He wanted the PSS software to snapshot images of all cameras logged in at an interval of 10 minutes. Then upload the copies of snapshot to either FTP server or via e-mail. I can't figure out how to do it without writing a script, and even if I can write the script, is it possible to incorporate it into the PSS software?
