  1. I have purchased a H.264 dvr system with 4 cameras from China off Ebay recently. My question is regarding the hard drive and networking system. I have an 80gb SATA hard drive and I hooked it up as instructed but the system cannot find the hard drive? I really dont know where to start. Also, does it have to be connected directly to my ethernet cable or can I use my client AP connector which I used for a blue ray player to connect wirelessly via my router. I am new to this and would greatly appreciate any help you guys could offer. Thanks!
  2. Hey guys im a newbie..I purchased a Standalone 4CH CCTV DVR Security Kit H.264 on ebay and I was wondering if I can use a external hard drive for storage? I was thinking that I could hook it up via usb port on the DVR? I would appreciate all responses!!

    New "easy" system

I recently purchased 2 bunker hill cameras from harbor freight. They are nice cameras for what I am going to use them for. However, they come with no software. They work fine when plugged into my TV and I do not want to buy a 150$ DVR for these cameras, so I had an extra computer sitting around along with a 1 TB hard drive. I figured this would be plenty. My problem is that my cameras have RCA plugs and my computer has no inputs. I purchased a USB-DVR on Ebay and downloaded all the software but the computer still does not recognize the cameras. I know I am trying to take the easy way out but I thought this would work. If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
