  1. Anyone have information related to these two AvertX 8 amd 16 channel professional IP security systems that are newly listed at Costco? They both host full POE ports no POE switch needed to purchase. Dome cameras are only available at this time. 8 Channel $1999.00 http://www.costco.com/AvertX-8-Channel-Professional-IP-HD-Security-System-with-2TB-Hard-Drive-and-4-1080p-IP-Cameras-.product.100021434.html 16 Channel $2999.00 http://www.costco.com/AvertX-16-Channel-Professional-IP-HD-Security-System-with-2TB-Hard-Drive-and-8-1080p-IP-Cameras-.product.100021442.html
  2. Any opinions on this Swann 16 Channel HD NVR Security System with 3TB HDD and 8 1080p Cameras from our friends at Costco? http://www.costco.com/Swann-16-Channel-HD-NVR-Security-System-with-3TB-HDD-and-8-1080p-Cameras.product.100070310.html Thank You Chucky
  3. These systems are back in stock at Costco for $2499.00 Thanks Chucky
  4. There hasn't been a tremendous amount of disscussions focused around this Swann 16 Channel system Costco had to offer. Possibly the deal breaker was the price. Seemed like the few that shared their purchase and initial setup experience with this system were positive. Looks like Costco is currently sold out of this system. Thank You Chuck
  5. tooms What is your PC setup like running blue iris? CPU, MB, RAM, etc? Thank You Chucky
  6. When you find time can you please post the actual model number of the NVR? Thank You Chucky
  7. For $200.00 more you get the same system through Costco with 4 cameras instead or 2. That is cheap for 2 additional cameras, keep them for spares. Thank You Chucky
  8. You did verify a couple of things for me. 1) Your purchase from Costco is not currently on Swanns web site. 2) Your new system can be optionally upgraded to 4 X 8 = 32GB of storage. 3) Hopefully you can do a full review for us when you receive. Thank You Chucky
  9. I do not think this 16 Channel NVR that Costco is selling is the 7200 series. Where are you getting this information? The 7200 series supports up to 4TB SATA HD (sounds like a quantity of two 2 tb drives). This one that I am asking questions about accordint to Swann Tech is aimed more at a small/medium business environment rather than a home/small business environment. What would set this apart from the 8ch system is the ability to install 8 HDDs into this 16 channel system. The 5.25" bay is not really intended to be used, since 2.5" portable HDDs are inexpensive and hold a lot more footage. The processing power to handle 16 channels is substantially higher than one might expect, which contributes to the higher price of the 16 channel unit. The specs on Costco web site does not math a 7200 series. This is the reason I do not think it is on Swann's web site. Thank You Chucky
  10. Swann Tech If I purchase this uplevel Swann 16 channel NVR system and it is only being marketed through Costco. How are updates and specific information going to be provided in the future since this model is currently not on Swann's web site. Central location for firmware updates, user manual, specifications, replacement parts? Thank You Chucky
  11. Swann Tech I appreciate the clarification: Is there a reason I caanot find this 16 channel system on Swann's web site? Only Costco... Thank you Chucky
  12. I guess this unit is only available for purchase through Costco? Not available on Swann's web site..... I could not find a Swann 16 channel NVR on the web....... Thanks Chucky
  13. Swann Tech Can you share more details on this Swann 16 channel system possibly in comparison to the 8 channel Swann system that is currently on sale at Costco for $999.00? Thank You Chucky
  14. A question for anyone that is using the latest ACTi NVR software. For live viewing lets say 16 cameras. Instead of displaying all 16 cameras at once on your monitor (checkerboard). Does the software have an option to display each single camera full screen? Possibly with a timer allowing 5 - 10 seconds before displaying the next camera. I have seen this setup on analog DVR's. Thank You Chucky

    ACTi NVR v3.0

Greg I appreciate the feedback you provided from ACTi support. This is the exact information I was seeking. Thank You Chucky
  16. I couldn't help notice on Costco's web site the 8 channel system for $999.00 is very affordable in comparison to this 16 channel system. My issue is I already purchased the Qsee 4 channel system from Costco when it first became available and now I am stuck with a 4 channel 4 camera system that cannot be easily expanded. I felt if I raised my expectations to 16 channel I would have a system that I could grow into not out of so quickly, especially since the best affordable camera will at best give you 90 degrees coverage. Always Appreciate the Great Feedback. Chucky
  17. It is a 24 port POE but no I have not measured watts consumed by a fixed number of cameras being powered. The cooling fan's sounds like a hair dryer running. Thank You Chucky
  18. Sure wish that Costco would offer a 16 channel model with similar pricing. Thank You Chucky
  19. How does everyone control cost of electricity of a POE switch or multiple POE switches powering all your cameras? Mine consumes up to 170 watts. Thanks Chucky
  20. Based on a PC system what would the preferred video card be? HDMI output allowing you to drive HD displays? Thanks Chucky
  21. XTROT You are using the free version of Xeoma? The pay version is $199.99 for 16 cameras. Thanks Chucky
  22. buellwinkle I appreciate the clarification: Could someone PM me with a good source to purchase this camera and other ACTi products. Thanks Chucky
  23. So this ACTi E72 doesn't have a weak IR illuminator like some of the other reciewed ACTi's? Thanks Chucky
  24. Is it possible to add a couple of Mobotic D15 cameras to a typical NVR 4 camera system? I purchased the Qsee 4 camera NVR system from Costco and I am now considering adding a couple Mobotics cameras. I was not sure if I could live view all 6 cameras through the mobotics user interface. Your help and comments would be appreciated. Thank You Chucky
  25. Is there any estimate on how much CPU usage and resources would be required using milestone Xprotect Go utilizing the 4 Qsee cameras and the 2 Mobotics cameras? Trying to determine what level of PC would be required for live viewing since the Mobotics would be used as a typical IP camera and not their intended decentralized concept. Thank You Chucky
