  1. To gain acess to change stream tap the little gear on bottom right, then tap device manage, then tap your group of cameras on right side of screen. It will then give you option to change your stream. But like I said for some reason, at some point it will default back to main, even if you save extra stream. And gDMSS is for android devices and iDMSS is for IOS devices. They are the same app for 2 different operating systems but they each have completely different layout and options. And I use Ip camera veiwer pro to access my Dahua 16 ch nvr. It will connect to your Nvr. You do not have to have port access to each camera seperately. I use the default 37777 port for both iDMSS and Ip camera viewer to acess the nvr.
  2. Just as some input, I too have the same issue with a 4th gen Ipad. It will only do this in Main Stream. It does not do this in Extra stream. I only use iDMSS for casual veiwing. For some reason it will always default back to Main even after saving settings to Extra stream. IP Cam Viewer Pro is a great app to use on the Ipad. Personally I dont care for the iDMSS app for the Ipad. I use the latest updated gDMSS app on my android tablet. After using it for a while, i find it to be far superior to the iDMSS app.
  3. Thanks Tomscave, that works nicely.
  4. Yeah I found out it worked on a whim. Just plugged in the IP, logged in, and Boom there it was. Was pretty surprised myself. But no, I do not change settings often. But if I need to tweak a camera the iPad is always sitting there ready to go. I guess nobody ever tried.
  5. I am sorry. Yes I meant Safari. Brain Fart. As you can tell I'm not Apple literate. So up until I updated to IOS 7.0.4, I could log into my cameras web interface using Safari. I hope anybody reading this can now chime in.
  6. As I'm sure you already know, Idmss is only for viewing your cameras. You cannot log into the cameras web interface using the Idmss app. I was able to use Firefox on my LAN network to log into my camera and tweak settings. I can no longer do this on my ipad. I found it more convenient than using my laptop. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue, and if so, how the resolved it
  7. Hello. I noticed today I can no longer log into my cameras web interface on my Ipad using Firefox. I reluctantly updated to Ios 7.0.4 a while back and just tried to log in. I'm not getting past the initial log in screen. I don't remember which software version I had before, but it was the original version I bought it with last Christmas, 6.0. something. And never had a problem. Anybody else having this problem?
  8. For what its worth. Both my hfw2100's exhibited this same problem when I had day and night set to auto. Once I updated to the Software Version 2.210.0000.0.R, build : 2013-03-13 which had the new config file upgrade to set parameters seperately for day and night, I was able to force camera into night mode on a set schedule. This completely eleminated the issue. I know some people want it to work automatically when it gets dark. But this has worked for me. They are quirky cameras, and definately have there issues. This comment might burn me in the end but Its how I see it. It's a love hate relationship with these cameras. Kinda like Marriage...
  9. Hi Vector. A little off topic but I'm so jealous of your view of Forest Park. Few people that know the area ever get a view from that perspective. Looks like about the 18th floor... .
  10. Nice shot Vector18. Its funny until someone just mentioned Queens I had no idea where your camera was filming. I grew up in Glendale. I used to deliver the daily news to the Crescent buildings when I was a young lad. From the 20th floor was the best view in Queens. Small World...
  11. When should we expect to see the new firmware?
  12. I have 3 HFW2100 cameras. 2 out of the 3 exhibit this same dilemma. I used to keep Scene mode in the auto setting but at 1 point in the day the image would turn a purple hue as well. Switching from day to night or rebooting the cameras would return it to a normal state, but sometime during the day the purple hue would return. I keep my Scene mode customized and it keeps the image stable but wonder why my third camera can function normally in auto scene mode. My firmware is the latest from my supplier which is 2012-10-31. I will say something we have in common is the 2 cameras I have that mostly overlook a grassy area exhibit this problem. The third camera I have does not overlook any grass and does not have this problem. Could it possibly be the scene and lighting that are causing the issue.
