    DVR Output on LAN

Rajan, CCTV requirements can be best suggested by experts after going through the site analysis. In this case, 16 channel may be good, and if you have money, fibre optics turn out to be the best. Obviously if you are going for DVR (analog based cameras), recording should be done in the DVR's Hard Disk. Or else, you can also go for IP.

This is in reply to Abhineet Malhotra, though you should have posted this as a separate question. Yes, its definitely possible if there is some mode by which data packets get transferred. Internet Connectivity is the ideal mode. I do not recommend 3G/GPRS for a location where internet connectivity is also bad. Simply add a booster and use the DVR. All you need to ensure that the DVR is in a location where internet connectivity is good, do not worry about the location where cameras are present.
  4. You should go for a PTZ Camera, and use an alarm system by including that area into the motion sensing grid, where the activity takes place. That way, you can catch the criminals during their act. Cost in USA for an entry-level system: 500 USDs. By the way, that's a very strange scenario Debashish Head Trainer, Incept Training Academy (India's first on Biometrics and CCTV Systems)
