  1. Problems that need to be overcome: 1: this is in minnesota. temps expected are from -20F to 120F. 2: not sure what kind of power supply i have at the gate. 3: no DVR, so ip camera would be best, (bonus for wireless) 4: needs to be good enough to get info on the make/model of the car and driver description as it comes in past the camera. 5: business' building is 300ft? away any suggestions?
  2. we have an old mitsubishi dvr that is dead, there are 2 cameras in place already. how can i tell what kind of cameras they are and get a DVR that will work with them? i don't need a lot of channels on this DVR, but i would like network connectivity, and the ability to hook up a flatscreen monitor via VGA or DVI any help? btw i am a newbie to the CCTV spectrum, but since i am the company IT guy, if it has a circuit board, it is my department.
  3. I got promoted to being my company's IT person. we had a security company that would monitor 2 cameras connected to a mitsubishi DX-TL4 dvr. i am very unfamiliar with any of this. i do know there is a cctv monitor cable (dont know the connector type) going up into our ceiling. My C.O.O. wants to be able to output the DVR to a monitor so that a front desk person can keep an eye on the cameras. i have tried hooking a computer monitor to the VGA output on the back of the DVR but i get no signal, even if i put a little switch to vga mode. anyone have experience with this dvr? any help appreciated!!!!
