  1. Hi everyone. Thought I'd post an intro. and issue together! I'm new to CCTV and I'm just dabbling as a hobby by installing a small home system for now. I have a basic Sentinel DVR with remote access and currently two not particularly high spec. cameras. Yesterday was spent mounting and routing the cables for camera one plus installing faceplates and routing cat 6 cable from my living room (router) to my home office. DVR is working a treat with remote access and has worked with a camera when tested indoors, but I have a problem - hence joining here! I have a lack of power at my camera for some reason (I think) as only one of the many IR LED's is glowing red, and there is no picture! I tried a replacement camera and the same happened. Multimeter says the jack the camera fly lead is plugged in to has 11.49v out of the 12v I'm pumping into it 30m of cable away. Could this be the problem? As you can see, I'm a complete DIY amateur! Any help appreciated!
