  1. I want to upgrade to new 8 camera IP network with POE for my own convenience store. First of all any comments on these cameras i found on ebay for just under $250?? Outdoor Megapixel HD H.264 IP Network IR Camera w/ POE - from jetview (hong kong company) with included recording software. - Goal is to get high quality images Also, I understand that I will use a poe ethernet port with all cameras connected to the port by ethernet cables. I want to use a desktop computer for recording. How will I connect the feeds from the 8 cameras to the desktop. Do i need separate hardware for this?? Should I take a completely different approach to this idea altogether the old cameras are analog 500 TV line (decent to poor resolution) connected to a geovision analog capture card on the desktop. thank you very much.
  2. I need to buy a single new high res camera for my geovision 1240, 8 channel analog capture card. Can I integrate a new network IP camera with high res into the existing geovision software. If this is possible, what would I need to buy? Thanks in advance.
  3. How would I connect the network IP camera so that the geovision gv 1240 analog card recognizes the video output and displays the output with the other analog channels. Thanks,
  4. I am new to cctv and will need a setup with 8 cameras that will be outdoors - needed to be vandalproof and night capable in darkness. I have a limited budget around 1500 for cameras. I have a generic dvrcard in mind from the same providers. Can anyone input on this camera for my purposes Sony CCD Varifocal Infrared IR Dome Vandal-proof Camera 1/3" Color Sony CCD 3.5mm~8mm Varifocal Lens 19 LED's 420 TV Lines ~$140 per camera Since they are very reasonably priced, i was wondering if the picture might be sacrificed. Does anyone have any experience with similar cameras? I found the cameras on edigitaldeals, com Thank you very much DJ
  5. IF you can access your nuvico through the web via dvrhost dot c o m you can download the files to any computer, view them and take stills. The first time you log into the site from a computer - it will install a local dvrplayer onto your computer and you can view the files which you download from any computer with web access.
